Can't use Super Vegeta / Gotenks / Vegetto
Why do we not be able to use Super Vegeta like a transform?

This is only available in one chapter of the history.

I don't understand why is Super Vegeta in the game and we can't use this transform.

Same question to Gotenks and Vegetto.

It's too easy to implement that. You have got the powers and the models of Gotenks and Vegetto, but, Why its use is not allowed?

An option maybe would be, if you have Goku and Vegeta in the team, you can press one button tu activate fusion and start playing like Vegetto. Same with Gotenks.

And Why we are not be able to change the clothes of the characters?, the models are done again.

I don't understand it.

Well while you are correct on 2/3 of the statement, Vegetto wouldn't work, as fusion into him is permanent and irrevertable. But definitely yeah, Gotenks should be in as should be Super Vegeta

In dragonball super they explain the potara aren't actually permanent

Yes, potara is 1 hour fusion.

They retcon it, you mean. Still, in-game, they're treated as permanent by the characters, so it'd make no sense for us to be able to override their judgement.

Vegeta would rather die in battle than fuse with goku ever again! (Until they face a super strong enemy, again). :cuphead:

Even then, it's a coin flip. The only reason Vegeta did it in Z was because he wanted to avenge his family. In Super he did it because of Future Trunks. In GT he did it because character growth (the one that Super ignored, where Vegeta admitted to himself that Goku was the best).

And I forget the posibility to change the clothes of the characters. They have got the clothes done, we must use it.

I see you havent watched Dragonball Z and skipped straight to the retconned Dragonball Super. Sorry that I use the proper Dragonball Z reasoning. Where as Goku states, shortly after Vegeta has put on the Potara Earring "Oh by the way, the Potara fusion is permanent". Are you sure you aren't the millenial? Cause I sure as hell aint ;)

Yeah the whole "Your fusion is so powerful that your bodies can only maintain it for an hour" thing. I mean I guess I like the explanation better then just "something inside Buu cancels out the fusion" cop out that DBZ had. It always struck me as odd that Toriyama would put permanent fusion on as a possibility to begin with if he knew that it wasn't something he wanted long term. So as far as backpeddling retconning goes I liked Super's explanation because...well it was an explanation rather then just "oh well, guess the insides of Buu is a fusion free zone".

The potara is permanent only with gods.

The point was so that it doesn't become another dumb crutch like regular fusion, which can be used whenever the characters need it and thus creating possible plot holes. If it's permanent there are serious consequences to that decision but when it isn't, then it becomes an easy cop-out device. Anyone who understands storytelling knows just how dumb the retcons in super are compared to DBZ even if DBZ isn't a high bar.
