DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT

DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT

Zobrazit statistiky:
Boring endgame? nothing to do?!
You don't get endgame content in an RPG and you can't do anything anymore except leveling (which is super boring) and defeating the level 200 berserk opponents?

Even the Dragonballs are simply useless, you can just use the same 3 wishes over and over again ... some money, a few Z-balls and "rare" materials.

Nothing happens in the game anymore, so all you have to do is wait for the DLC content ...

EDIT:
Getting 100% of the trophies is currently not possible because there is one that you cannot get

Can it be that the game is totally overhyped?

I don't remember a game that ended after a few hours at Playstation 1 time, at least I didn't play any of those games.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot (if you argue like you and just hide the end game content) leaves out less playtime than watch time.

I got Grandia 1 on Steam for Christmas, because I already know the game, of course I progress faster than someone who doesn't know the game and now have about 29 hours of play time (but haven't played it through yet)
I finished Dragon Ball Z Kakarot after about 25-26 hours (story)
Most of the time after the story ended, I spent training, hopefully you know what that means ...
Fight against Bonyu again and again in seconds in the training room

Back then Grandia 1 did not cost 60 euros (80 with Season Pass, which most probably have)! And even today Grandia 1 does not cost 60 (80) euros.
So what's your problem with playing old Playstation 1?
I don't know which game you're referring to but apparently you lack the objectivity to see Dragon Ball Z Kakarot compared to old games.

From today's perspective, the game hardly offers anything that justifies this price, I bought the game extra to see if my first impression was correct!
That does it, you are more watching than playing, the fights are ALL boring (including the boss fights) and the game offers almost no end game content (what you can expect these days!)
The Season Pass and the "DLC's" are a joke!
So you pay for something 20 to 24 euros more and don't even get any information about what's coming (the sadder it is that there are already people who rate the Season Pass positively on Steam ...)

And to come back to your comparison to Playstation 1 games, even Final Fantasy 7 has more to offer in terms of end game content than DBZ Kakarot and FF7 is already very old in game years and even for Final Fantasy 7 we didn't have 60 at the time Euros spent then!

Doom 2016 is a 12 hour game.

Call of Duty BRO was a 7 hour game.

Fire Emblem 4 (SNES) was a 50 hour game.

Legend of Dragoon was a 50 hour game.

You cannot measure a game's worth simply by the time it takes to complete. And amount of content is not something that's performed in a perfect incline as tech has gotten better - there have always been long games AND short games selling for similar prices.

A game's price is determined roughly by how much development money is put into it (not a perfect correlation, but for our purposes it's accurate enough). A lot of DBZK's systems fall flat, especially the RPG stuff. The fighting is OK, but could be better. The dialogue system is a bit dissonant, and a few key scenes are missing.

That being said, the game is fun enough if you're not looking for DBZ Skyrim and it has enough content to justify the price.

I think part of what's unfair toward the game is that most people have played essentially the same DBZ story like 10 times over the last 20 years, so there is a belief that any new DBZ game should be innovative in some manner. That's not CyberConnect's fault, but it's not the consumers' fault either. And I do think DBZK has some nice improvements over past DBZ games, Kakarot offers the most cinematic experience (including gameplay, not just scenes) in terms of pursuing the story. For most games I don't care how "cinematic" they are, but for a game that's mirroring a TV show, it's important and I think the devs did a good job in that respect.

I'm 24 hours in just about to fight Cell with SSJ2 Gohan. I have done every blue side quest on the map (except one or two), but no other exploring or side stuff like cars and the robot thing. I believe I have another 10+ hours ahead of me, and I think it's a pretty fair deal for the price.

I wasn't rushed through the game if you think so.
I also miss 2-3 blue quests because I missed them at the beginning.

However, I see it differently when it comes to fighting in the game.
Fighting is very boring and repetitive, the boss fights are nothing special either, they are just a little bit more exciting than the normal trash mob fights.
And also the story apart from the main story is mostly boring and filled with typical RPG elements to artificially force more playing time.

And I'm not expecting blatant new things to blow me away.
However, I even find Xenoverse better than Kakrot (and I hate Xenoverse) but at least they tried to make a Dragon Ball game for Dragon Ball fans in Xenoverse.

DBZK has given away too much potential, the only thing I enjoy in DBZK is dodging, because in combat it is the only thing that feels like Dragon Ball, which also got really good for the first time in DBZK, but the rest is like mentions boring
The blows and meele skills are all limp and weak, making the Ki-Attack spam the best option.

You have performed much better in other Draon Ball games in terms of replayability or at least you had an online mode that tied you to the game a bit longer (at least with the newer parts), as I mentioned, I currently have nothing in the game to do up to levels ... and that's even more boring than playing the game xD
And I only have 42 hours of play -.-
but I spent 80 euros RIP
That's just, like, your opinion, man.

Not every game needs post game content, sure it helps, but in no way is it a requirement. I bought this game assuming the post game was nonexistent. If I wanted to fight the same guys over and over, I'd pull out my PS2 and play Budokai 2.
When I was 40 hours into the game, I already reached endgame 150lvl+ as you said: completely nothing to do.
When I was 40 hours into the Assassins Creed Odyssey, I'm not nearly close to the middle of the main game. And there are DLCs!
That being said, Kakarot cost me 50 USD, AS:O cost me 25 with all the DLCs.

What kind of argument is that, please?

If DBZK doesn't offer end game content, the price is even more outrageous than it already is!
And of course you expect end game content.
Otherwise, the game makes no sense ...
Or do you seriously want to tell me you want a new Dragon Ball game every year that doesn't offer you anything?
You can fool yourself ^^

RPGs always offer content after playing through, new content that is only unlocked after playing through and old content that can still be caught up and that will keep you in the game longer.

And nobody can tell me that he likes the combat system in DBZK, every fight is the same, the RPG elements in the game are a bad joke.
The only thing the game offers is a big name, if the game weren't called Dragon Ball everyone would certainly have it!

And we don't live in the past, we live in the present so save yourself your "then I play old Playstation 2 games".

When a game appears in 2020, I expect at least a minimum of what was current in 2019/2020 and DBZK cannot offer that, that's a fact!

Or do you sit in the game for an hour and play baseball or drive car races against time in DBZK, even these mini-games are boring.
And yes it is my opinion!
And I wonder why everyone is so hypen the game when it doesn't offer anything ?!
This is my RIGHT after all, I also spent money on a game which is not worth it in the end!

The standards of RPG has changed. It isnt a 2000, but 2020 and after games like AC:Od, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Witcher 3 or God of War, having post-game content in RPG is the must.

Kakarot is a RPG game not fighting game like Dragon Ball FighterZ.
I think this game is super incomplete, I still waiting for the Time Machine so I can finish the only sub mission that I missed, but even if I do that silly mission, I have NOTHING to do, no more to level up... How Is it possible that we can not use Vegito or Gotenks!?? Even the rest of the Z fighters, every character could be playable but they decided for some reason not to give everything to us, even in Debug mode you can use every character, then super poor on Graphic and Resolution Options and way too many parts skipped from the Story that could have made a huge difference. I liked the game, with the time I even liked the fighting style, but I felt the game is just long because how many Loading screens and flying times.

I Liked, but I feel super empty after I finished, my fault to think it was going to have stuff to do.

Also, if anyone plays Dragon Ball Fighterz add me for some spar! :D
