Do I sell the "fancy" items?

I've tried google searches and skimmed through this forum, but I haven't been able to find an answer.

There are items in the gifts tab that can't actually be given as gifts, namely the Fancy Necklace, Wristwatch, Urn, Earrings and Piercing as well as the Yamcha Photo. Is it safe to sell these, or is there some use for them later in the game?

Yeah, it's here to get money, as it's stated in the item description.

I figured as much, but I just wanted to be sure. There are some games with similar item descriptions where it turns out you could have benefited from holding on to the item.
