Game won't recognize save files
Did anyone else lose their progress today from 1.04 update? Game will no longer recognize save files. 'Continue' is greyed out. All fixes do not work. Cloud save files behave the same. 75 hours lost.

Just checked mine, still there. You should check the save folder.

Oh, mine are there too. However the game will not recognize them. So my 'continue' option is greyed out. I only have the option to start a new game.

Start a new game, then check your save folder again, see if it doesn't create a new folder or someone like that. And make a backup of your older saves somewhere else and delete them from the folder, seeing if steam cloud revert it.

did u use mods? maybe it got messed up or try file check to see if that can max the game so maybe it sees your save?

Thanks for the suggestion Gaeran, I tried it, but all it did is put the new files in the same folder. I then deleted the new ones and put my 70+ hr save files back in, but I get the same results.

@kyse2 no, I didn't use mods.

I am having the same issue. the game won't recognize my old save files after relocating them.

That sucks Solidplay! I've been looking for a save file that's recent. I'll let you know if I find one.

I tried all the fixes on the forums that I could find. My saves are displayed in both online and offline folders, but my continue is still greyed out as well. This is a pretty big bummer, I was in the middle of the cell saga.

Had this same issue - Just solved it. Here's what I did:

1. Navigate to where the saved games are located (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<your user ID>\851850)

2. In this folder is a file called "remotecache". Copy this file and save it to another folder so you have a backup, then delete it.

3. Next, go into the "remote" folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<your user ID>\851850\remote). All of your saved games will be here. Back them all up to a different folder, then delete "SystemSave0".

4. Once both "remotecache" and "SystemSave0" are deleted, relaunch the game. It should say something about save data being found and loaded. When you click "Continue" your save data will be present, but will be lacking a picture or description. Just select a file to load, then resave it to get that information back.

Recovered my 30+ hour game save by doing this. Not sure how it got corrupted in the first place. I'm not using any mods.

I concur. Deleting the remotecache and saved files did it for me. The remotecache seems to get corrupted easily.

I did those steps and it still doesn't work. Any other solutions?

Any solution for this? 2024 and I'm still encountering this issue. I have tried all of the above as well as many other steps with no success. I'm using no mods and the last time I played was around 2019. At first I couldn't find my save file on my PC but I was able to find my save file here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp

I placed it in multiple different locations based on the above and by this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/kakarot/comments/1boxn1t/dbz_kakarot_missing_save_data_fix_pcsteam/

Any suggestions or other fixes? I want my 30 hour saved file back :( Thanks!
