WARNING: Do Side Missions ASAP Or Miss Them

You need to do the side missions in the same chapter they appeared. For some insane reason when you pick up a side quest it gets locked to your main character at the time, and the chapter. So when you proceed to the next part (the game gives you a warning message to continue the story) that quest is forever cut off until the time machine whenever is available. A lot of soul emblems are unlocked via side missions and are missable.

Yes and no. Some quests are needed to be done during certain chapters (I lost 3 side missions due not noticing that), some other quests are only available after reaching a chapter but don't need to be done asap. They don't have an end time.

I suggest to take a look into the Story-Menu. There you're able to see when the mission will be available/will end.

i havent played through the game yet - hows the replay value? can i use the time machine to replay certain sagas? eventhough imma lvl 500 Goku vs a frieza lol ?

The time machine isn't available yet. Nobody knows exactly how it'll work, just that it'll allow you to replay certain parts of the game (no word regarding enemy scaling, etc.).

I'm just saying, I missed a bunch of community medals because I ignored side missions. Nam, Android 8, Bubbles, etc.

For instance, if you don't do Nam's side mission when you get it, you'll miss his medal.

true for now till the time machine comes but who the heck knows when that is nice of them to tell us about it and it isnt even ready :/ i mean i like to hear about updates but only if they r coming out sometime soon and soon for me is like maybe a week!

Go to party... click top person... click person required to do the side quest.... you can now do the side quest haha

That's great, if you're doing intermission and can switch party members. but if you miss the quest and go to the next chapter, the NPC disappears usually going somewhere else. And half the time the party is set and can't be changed.
