You can't fight against Frieza or Cell as Vegeta and not have that piano playing.

Also the menu music.

Yeah, just a vast improvement to the experience.


When all the same music clips were being played in the open world areas of earth, when the same music played with Nappa & Vegeta scenes as played with random Frieza force members, I looked into this kind of mod.

Can't recommend enough!

The audio mix is way too unbalanced to recommend. Also I never liked the english intro music, I think it sounded dumb back in the 90s and that opinion didn't change. The rest (or most) of the US Soundtrack was nice, but in this mod it''s just a copy & paste of course and no re-arranged or re-imagined versions. Since the default OST of the game offers actual new arranged versions of the old japanese OST that's a big plus going for the default one.

Can't disagree about the mixing or the cheesy intro music.

However the gameplay for this game is a little weak xD
The experience is 80% about nostalgia and 20% playing the game for me.
Being able to free roam around the DB world and visiting all the landmarks in an open 3D environment is where i'm getting my enjoyment here.

Having the music from "my version" of Dragon Ball really enhances what I consider the positives for me, i'm sure quite a few others feel similar too.

If the version of DBZ I first experienced was the japanese sub I would no doubt feel the same as you do about this.

I didn't experience the japanese dub first, actually my order was german > english > japanese. I fully experienced the show with 3 different languages and their two different OSTs from episode 1 throughout the last episode so there really is no bias. Each have their own unique strenght (check out the german version of the DBZ opening and also goku's german kame hame ha). The problem I see with this mod is the bad audio mixing and that it doesn't offer anything new. It's simply copy & paste of the same old mp3 files. You can do the same without modding by disabling the ingame music and let the US OST play through winamp, that way with correct audio mix. If it would be improved versions of the old tracks such as this game did with the japanese tracks it would be a different story.

i dont think faulconers stuff can be used for contractural reasons.
i will say: cha la head cha la> rock the dragon.

Love 99% of the Faulconer ost and wanted this mod for this game but I wish it was done better like the one for DBFighter Z.

Yeah, author says it's still in beta, meaning they are gonna replay the game and handplace more relevant tracks.

Possibly he may upgrade the sound balance and certain track quality too?

No idea there, but for me, i prefer this mod to default.

What can I do now, I already finished the game with the original music... I dont want to spend another 50 hours just to farm, upgrade same ♥♥♥♥ and do it all over again.

Why have I not seen this mod later T_T I tried it after the story is done but most songs I will never get to play from this mod as the game is finished, there is nothing left to do, that is until they add the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much MUCH needed time machine to go back.

you could just DL the trainer, use it to boost your level and speed run things with cheats.
