... Oh god how wrong this sounds.
OP simply dont use it.
I never said you should't be able to heal. Most RPG's have limitations on healing. I currently have over two hundred health potions. I can heal myself almost instantly during battle. This was without that much grinding.
1. It would bother me not to use every tool at my disposal. Video games are at their most fun for me when I constantly have to learn new strategies
2. Other games provide t difficulty options
3. To be honest I don't think the game is terrible. I just think that the healing items are the center of its main flaw.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I also noticed that the cutscenes decline in quality after the first fight with Vegeta. I would've like to see more iconic moments be animated in 3D.
The game is like a 6.5/10
2. Not all of them, no.
3. Optional features are not flaws. Exercise some restraint instead of blaming the game.
>"It would bother me not to use every tool at my disposal."
ok.
Simply don't use healing items in any battle. I found out real quickly that healing items destroy ANY challenge this game offers so I immediately removed all healing items from my quickbar.
Healing items are an OPTION for those that want or need them.
If you don't have the self control to limit them or simply not use them, then that is on you my friend, not the developers.
We don't ignore bad parts of movies.
We don't ignore bad parts of books.
Why am i expected to ignore a bad part of a video games.
Other games provide more than one difficulty option.
The developers chose to make healing items numerous and useful so that people who aren't terribly good at the game (and those who WANT to be invincible) can use them.
After all, DBZ as a whole is a definitive power fantasy in it's own right.
Just because you don't agree with the decision, doesn't mean it's a "bad part."
However YOU are at fault for having no self control and effectively removing any semblance of challenge this game MIGHT have had w/o healing items.
Especially if you were looking for some semblance of challenge to begin with and then CHOSE to take advantage of the very obvious (extreme) advantage that using items allows for.
Because ultimately it is just your opinion. Some people say that games like Dark Souls, Sekiro, etc need to have an easy mode. I am willing to wager you are the kind who would rally against such a notion. The difference here is if you really hate healing items and don't want to use them then...well don't use them.
