Black Screen with Mr Popo

So i was about to turn in a Side Quest and went back to Mr Popo, once the game did the whole black screen transition nothing had happened, i waited 5 minutes and nothing happened still, music was still heard, this happened twice, i had to tab out and force my PC to restart but cancel it at the last minute, dunno if this is even a bug or what but it annoys me i cant turn in a side quest :(

P.S it's the one with collecting woodchips.

FIX: on steam right click game go to properties and verify integrity of game files.

got black screened on a story mission and this fixed it

I didnt do that but when i disbanded my party it fixed oddly enough, guess Popo hates Party's

Decided to come back to this and was making my way through all the sides till i came across this infamous quest, file integrity check and party disbanding doesnt seem to fix it, sad to know this bug for me is still around
