Is it just me?

Or does anyone else find the game to be a little on the boring side? It doesn't feel innovative or exciting, and they've not done anything particularly new caked with the fact that it's the same story told over and over and over with each release. Does anyone else feel this way? I'm ten hours deep (just hit the android saga, i've been taking my time) and i'm definitely going to get my money's worth, but I just wanted other people's inputs on this topic. The game is super pretty and presented well, but the gameplay is lacking. I'm an avid DBZ fan so i'll finish this all the way through for sure.

I have played many dbz games, I have enjoyed almost all and turning away the graphics, with dbz kakarot I thought it would be to relive history once again without anything innovative as action rpg, but the truth is that this game is pretty good, it's nothing from the other world, but it's very enjoyable.

It is called Kakarot and you barely play with Goku

It is Saiyan to Buu again that ♥♥♥♥ almost every single since the 90's is that ♥♥♥♥ for ♥♥♥♥ sake if you call kakarot at least use the classic DB for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ first time

One Straght laser special one multi shot special one guard break melee one stun melee and one with both for the 4 characters(literally the same attacks(with different skins) for 4 characters)

Food permanent bonus is ridiculously small being almost lvl 40 i have 1kk life and the best food that you get is 20k you get 10 to 100 bonus by leveling you get hunreds of thousand to millions hahahahahaahahah why the ♥♥♥♥ even put that....the use is literally just using for the percentage buff like every other rpg


It was supposed to be an rpg but the best the game do is inflate stats ♥♥♥♥ me at least try to make something interesting at least on Tenkaichi 3 some characters had life regen(with equipment) at least Picollo, Cell and Buu should have(but it is broken(reduce the regen efectiveness the more it regen that reminds me buu vs goku or gohan fight that buu took such a beating that his regen started to slow down)) or having exhausted reducing ki regen instead of every fight that you can win with spamming ki wave even more that you can use items without delay every fight is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke unless you are underleveled by a lot

Every boss fight follows the same pattern the boss will ki charge and use a special attack you either defend or use your special first second the boss will get red and with hyper armor you just defend/counter

And graphic is barelly passable

For now it is my SOTY

Played 60+ Hours and have all Achievements, it is a good game but why calling it Kakarot when you play almost 85% of the game as Gohan and only have the Z-Story which is almost about Gohan? I was excited to get a game where you play trough Goku's life beginning with him as kid and getting more information about his Grandpa and also getting more background about the Sayan. But again you only have the Z-Story, where it is all about Gohan, pls then don't name it KAKAROT, when you not bring a Story about the Charakter. It is not a bad game bt I'm disapointed of it.

For me as for fan of entire Dragon Ball series (not only Z) this game is a little dissapointment (I played on PS4). Maybe because I didnt expected a lot.

This is just interactive Dragon Ball Z anime. RPG elements lacks deep and side-quests are just bad. Graphics are also mediocre at best and there are also some problems with performance during cutscenes on my PS4 PRO. Also the game has got some problems with music. There are moments where music from anime plays as it should, but then there is an important moment without dramatic music....
A lot of moments were also skipped but this is another thing to discuss.

Fighting gives fun and reliving all those events which I remember from my childhood is great, but we cant hide the truth.

This game is just for Dragon Ball Z fanbase. Players who dont know anything about DBZ and RPG fans can easly pass on this game or wait for sale. Better watch entire anime one more time on TV screen.

It's kinda disappointing, tbh. I think the characters look great, the ♥♥♥ dub is good, some of the in-game cutscenes are really good, but the world is pretty lifeless, the story jumps around and is pretty jerky, and the various 'rpg' mechanics are very, very weak. At a minimum I was hoping for something closer to modern-day DQ games, but with Xenoverse combat. =/

Obejectively, its a pretty great game. Its a casual RPG with action elements. The controls are well done, the world is open and feels like DBZ, the plot is fun again, and its just a nice relaxing good time.

I think this is more a case of what you are looking for. If the above does not appeal to you, it doesn't mean the game is boring, it just means you're bored by that type of game.

I can imagine have you ever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ played Yakuza ? you use one guy with multiple fighting styles instead here we play with 1 character/style with different skins(Literally every one has the same moveset) except Trunks that is one tiny bit diferent that instead of straight laser has two grenades skills

The whole idea would be the game to be focused on Kakarot hence the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ name if not why not call it Ultimate Tenkaichi 4 or sagas 2 or Infinite world 2 or Battle of Z 2 or Burst Limit 2

♥♥♥♥ you and them Kakarot feels like Bandai going Bethesda and re-re-re-re selling skyrim

Dumb bastard can't even read the game has 1 character and 5 skins

Every single character has the exact same suport/passive skills

Just did the Capsule corp stage 4 training it is the exactly same fights for the exactly same skill for all characters 16 missions doing exactly the same thing for exactly the same reward

I get this feeling too. A lot of the game is just doing relaxing slice of life stuff. You can really play at your own pace. And since it is a story we all know and love there's no huge rush to see what happens next anyway. This makes the side quest even more enjoyable.

I mean, he's got a point. The game is titled "Kakarot" so 99% of people would assume (and rightfully so) that the game would mostly portray Goku's angle throughout the story, but instead we get a majority of our play time using his son. The title is super misleading.
