Why No Dragon Ball Super Stuff?
I get Dragon Ball being excluded, but why do we get another Z exclusive game again? I wouldn't mind it as much if they said this was a remake of the Legacy of Goku series, but from what I can tell it's just Z all over again, with nothing else added bar some filler episode stuff.

Because Super isn't canon, just like GT. Sure you can add story lines and characters from it, but a whole game about it? No thanks.
Edit: my bad, I read it as you complaigning it tells DBZ story again instead of telling Super. But yeah sure they could add Super stuff but I get the feeling they want to tell the father and son stories and it's not the case anymore in Super, with Gohan being a wimp who doesn't do anything anymore.

umm super is canon tori was involved, hence canon.

resurrection F was tori, battle of the gods tori, and the broly movie tori all canon, as well as super.

i get the feeling this will be episodic. because why not? for as much as they gouge people for dlc in all the fighting games they cant slack off in this too much.

they do not even show anything past the frieza arc so i am guessing episode 2 will be cell saga and buu.

and then GT or super because GT is a thing canon or not some people like GT and will buy GT.

Um, Super is Canon. Both the Anime and Manga is written by Akira Toriyama.

Toriyama just write the global story of an arc and we don't know how much. Why would the manga and anime would be so different if both were fully written by him. He was involved in GT too, yet no one considers it canon anymore. So yeah, we may say Super is canon because we want to discuss some new things but it's not, not really anyway. And with all the retcons, jesus.... Super and DBZ are whole different shows. Super is so full of fanservice and fluffy stuff I feel like watching a family theme show sometimes. I mean the babies have so much screentime when they don't have any purpose. Because Super is precious and a gift for the Vegeta/Bulma shipers but otherwise, it's so different culturally it's hard to stomach.
The only way I could bring myself to continue watching Super was to consider it a different show than DBZ and watch it pretending I never watched DB and DBZ.
So yeah. In a few years when Toriyama will " write " another sequel - because he just can't let go of his gold mine even when he's too lazy to do the manga himself like he used to - that contradicts yet again its predecessor, everyone will say the new sequel is canon and Super is non-canon.

Sometimes I wonder if Akira Toriyama is cannon. He really doesn't care about the story and forgets everything he writes. He forgot SS2 existed and even forgot Trunks and 18s hair color. He literally doesn't care lol

I know a lot of people like super but me personally hate it, I think the inconsistencies are so huge that I can't even consider it cannon. Like Kale/Califa going from 0 to SSBrowly in one minute, Master Roshi fighting Jiren, Frieza catching up from below SS1 to God in 2 months of training, 17 fighting SS3 evenly, etc. etc. I could go on all day, it just doesn't make sense at all to me and my brain rejects it.

Technically, DragonBall, GT and DBZ are not canon. Toriyama didn't write them, they heavily based off his manga but he didn't do anything on the shows writing wise, drawing/art/animation different story. Super he did write for the series, so technically Super is the only real Toriyama canon thing in the franchise.

You're stretching here, DBZ is obviously canon, read the Manga. GT is not canon because it was made by Sony and the creator had no input, I think he only designed how SS4 looks.

It's not like you can't enjoy Super knowing it's non-canon, I don't get how it's so hard to accept.

He even forgot saiyans had tails, he could write a sequel where he forgot his protagonist is even an alien, it wouldn't surprise me. He forgot too much about his own manga and doesn't care enough to try, the characters wouldn't be the same either. So it's sad, but we can only have spin-offs.

So you're telling me a £50 game is episodic?! So what, we have to pay ANOTHER £50 for episode 2?!

Why can't we just get all Dragon Ball games in one? I get Z is popular but only doing Z stuff was so 90s and 2000s, Super has ended already, so why no games based on that too?

THANK YOU! I'm so tired of people thinking Toriyama is this amazing Genius. He did something great with DB and DBZ and a lot of his decisions where editorial mandates. How Android 19 and 20 where supposed to be the main antagonists, then he got ordered to make better looking ones (17.18) and then he was told they didn't look like bosses (He made inperfect cell) and then he was told that he was too ugly and created the perfect Cell sagas. I mean credit where credit is due, he can pull out stuff out of his ass and make it work but he has a reputation of "forgetful" when in fact is just him not caring.

BTW I also hate how Dragon Quest ALL LOOK THE SAME because he's not that a great Artist either yet he got hired to compete with Yoshikata Amano from Final Fantasy, that was a HUGE mistake and I feel Dragon Quest suffered a lot from the bad art direction. I think he's a decent Mangaka but without any original ideas that got Over hyped to God Status
