Try turning on or off v sync. I have a 144hz monitor so I think when I had v sync on it was making everything run quicker. Make sure the game runs at 60 fps and you shouldn't have this issue. You can turn on steam's frame rate monitor to check your frame rate.
just tapping left or right lightly would make the drop line move as expected. But holding down just too long and it would move too fast.
I think that's how it is supposed to work. You can drop the piece quickly by holding down, otherwise don't press anything and just let it fall on its own.
You misunderstand. Its not vertical drop down that is the problem.
IF you look at the dropdown shaft. If you move left or right. It shifts one unit to the left or right on screen.
If i am in the left side and nudging to the right. But holding too hard, the dropdown shaft might end up on the right side of the playing field.
And v-synch made no difference.
Ah I see. I know what you're talking about. Basically moving left or right can be too sensitive, right? I had this issue and it was related to my monitor being a high refresh rate monitor. Once I got it locked to 60 fps the sensitivity felt normal again. Maybe try switching from windowed mode to fullscreen mode?
Mine is 60fps, and full screen vs windowed made zero difference.
It only happens here in lumines.
SQUARE DANCE has some of one-bar-long samples and one of three-bars-long sample.
When the three-bars-long samples are played continuously, those samples should be played with overlapped, but in current version, the latter sample won't be played.
Thank you!
Hello Enhance Games,
I want to start out by thanking you for such a beautiful remaster of Lumines. It is hands down my most played puzzle game, and ate hours of my life on PSP and PS Vita. To see it given such care and attention, to have such a fresh presentation to the game is a blessing. You've done a wonderful job on that front.
The fundamental change to the mechanics is worrisome though. In the original Lumines, a special block that cleared all the same color blocks touching it would not activate until it was put into a square and set to be eliminated. In fact, this is how the special block worked all the way from, Lumines 1 through Lumines 2, Lumines Plus, Lumines LIVE!, and Lumines Electronic Symphony. Only the newest Lumines, Puzzle and Magic, has this revamped special block mechanic.
It was very jarring to pick up something that was advertised as "Lumines 1 with high definition graphics" and get something that did not play like Lumines 1. That game is a classic and still the best rated game in the entire series. To have it changed into something new while being told it was unchanged is a large violation of trust. What was advertised is not what was provided.

Despite my love for Lumines, I am pursuing a refund on Steam. In the event that this change is reverted or an option is added to use the original behaviour, I will purchase it again the day the new patch comes out.
