How to move on?
How do you "prestige" or get to the next "level" like in other idle games? I also don't have any crew to hire? Progress is slow and I have no idea what to do from here, the tutorial never mentioned anything past very basics.

Also is paying in diamonds for 3 random car parts the Only way to get new cars?

At the top of the Skills there's a "Go!" button for resetting. Resetting will give you the Credit to hire Crew. The game should have showed you how to do this after reaching Bronze League IV.

You can buy each car outright for a larger sum of diamonds. The button next to the blueprint gauge serves to do that.
