any Similar games recommendation, touhou or not?

so, title. any of yall have other good games to recommend to someone? in the spirit of metroid vania, but it could be any. mainly touhou. i just discovered the universe with this game ( other stuff not counting ) and i really want to learn more about this world now. so any touhou ( or not ) game recommendation?

For similar games you can check Team Ladybug/Krobon's other projects; First, their metroidvanias: Record of Lodoss War - Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, Shin Megami Tensei Synchronicity Prologue, and their non-metroidvania titles: KonoSuba: Fu-kkat-su no Beldia, Pharaoh Rebirth, Action Mogura.

My personal recommendations of 2D games by other studios; Castlevania The Lecarde Chronicles 1 (Not metroidvania but good enough on its own to be a thing, freeware fan game that has energy to go beyond the bond of mere freeware fan game)
Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (not metroidvania, stage based, but controls are very good and game is ultra high paced)

For touhou + metroidvania there has yet to be another decent one to surface (my sub-conscious would say Gensokyo Night Festival but that game is still in early access process so the quality of full version can't be guaranteed good enough to recommend, if there would be one)

i see! well, on the touhou part only, is there any other game that you would recommend be? bullet hell or not. ^^ now that i have first discovered this universe, i feel like i want to get more into it. it seemed fun. any order of recommendation?

Any game developed and produced by "上海アリス幻樂団" (Team Shanghai Alice) and/or "黄昏フロンティア" (Twilight Frontier), their works are the "official" and "official spinoff" of Touhou Project series

And some recommendation from other studios:
Touhou ROCK MAIDEN FC (1 and 2): Clearly modeled after NES Mega Man games, with very good NES-esque chiptune music, not available on Steam for obvious reasons (to avoid copyright infringement I guess?)

Any game developed by AQUASTYLE: Most of their titles has good or at least appropriately Japanese voice acting, but beware that the game play of Touhou Double Focus is too dull for a metroidvania and has really bad optimization for Steam version

Koumajou Densetsu II: Stranger's Requiem is also very good. It feels like a very refined and precise version of castlevania, with some bullet hell elements added in. It has surprisingly good voice acting, and a good English translation.

Yeah I do. I got it from moriya's shrine in a bundle with the first game https://moriyashrine.org/files/file/531-koumajou-densetsu-i-ii-premium-pack/

Also on the developer's website it looks like they are selling the game again, and they have an English patch available. I can barely read anything on the website because it's mostly in Japanese, so I could easily be misunderstanding it.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a pretty solid recommendation. I'd also recommend the Shantae series.

For Touhou in general EoSD is probably a good place to start.

If you want a Metroidvania with some bullethell elements (like Touhou Luna Nights) just try "Rabi-Ribi" !
The Artstyle is something you really have to get used to...but especially in the Endgame it gets bullethellish ;-)
