Tips Please

After spending 15-20 seasons in SL2, most of them being the top 2, 3 team (on paper), but keep losing more then half of the games against weaker opponents, especially at home (sometimes 400 or 500 points weaker) and thus ending midtable, or at the most 4th or 5th, trying all kinds of tactics, I'm desperatily looking for tips for how to let my team live up to their potential
