Should I Skip The First Game?

I'm interested in buying this but not the first Anima. If I buy just this one will I be able to understand the story or would I have needed to learn the first games?

Coming from a person who didn't play the first game but purchased along the 2nd one: no, you don't need to play the first one. As you progress, you'll get to know more about the whole context. The game tells things in an easy way to understand.

This and the first game are the same game from two different perspectives, each has unique points within based on the character but it's the same overarching story. Both are set at the same time just one is a hero and the other is a badguy which is good and which is bad depends on the game you play. So I'd still say play it cause I'm sure it's fun (I bought it cause I liked this one) so might as well get the pack instead.

The Nameless Chronicles reveals one of the major plot twists of Gate of Memories within the first 10 minutes. And GoM provides more context about the events and characters, I think. So, I suggest to play it first.

Worth noting that this one plays more smoothly than the first game. So you can skip it and just play this if gameplay is more of a priority. The first game was really rough around the edges.

Man this is an expansion of the first game,i find actually no-sense to play this one before.

Playing this one BEFORE the first is actually what I recommend. This game is way more polished and balanced, plus believe it or not the first game will actually make more sense after playing the second.
