Can we drop or get rid of items?

I made the silly mistake of buying things I don't use often like a camera, flashlight and batteries. They consume a lot of slots. Is there a way to drop or get rid of items?

I don't know how to drop items, almost died/fainted. Hunger got low, but was able to empty oil in the trunk and use that slot for consumables.

And yes, my fridges and cabin compartment are full.. as well as outside the truck. Does your HQ have storage for tools/car stuff? I only found the fridge in the kitchen that can hold storage.

you can drop items when open the inventory and click on the item then you can press X to drop it after you leave the area or load the game afterwards it despawms

Get out the truck press T to trow away the item selected.
There will be NO confirm command requested..

I made the mistake of buying more snow chains ,Radiator cover, Truck battery, Batteries and Heat gun.
Another way to discard items you no longer want to carry. Put the items in your inventory and when you enter a store or garage go to the checkout, Select the items and then push T and it drops them immediately freeing up that slot.

I'm using a wheel and gamepad, I must have glossed over the drop feature. Thank you all for the tips! Now I won't die cuz my dude is carrying stupid batteries!
