It won't steer or accelerate normal or as it should, jst keeps going straight and let's you turn a little then straight

Change to external camera Right sticks down and you'll likely see the Steam input set up is busted, and the Wheels reset to centre
PlayStation's controllers are not supported, So you are emulating an Xbox 360 controller via steam input for Wired,,,,

PS controllers dont work.
You need to Disable Steam input and get a Wired Xbox controller. Nope. wireless is also failing for this title.

Nine patches and still cant use gamepads. Both controllers (ds4 and xbox360) still has the same bug with the left analog stick while driving: It tries to steer, clutch, brake, throttle etc at the same time.

Maybe some day...

once purchased you need to right click in steam library on ART.
then go down to controller.
Then select DISABLE Steam input.
Then rebbot steam app to insure it stuck.
Now launch game.
One in game You may need to open and close map for game to Reload Xbox controller setting.
Enjoy 72 hours in all by controller.

Finally! Thank you! :) This works, at least with a wired xbox 360 gamepad.

I thought I already tried this, but it must've been before the patches.

I got my ps4 controller to work by disabling steam input and using DS4windows to emulate an xbox controller
