My First Autumn, Winter Job....

Taking a load of toys to Prudhoe bay and managed to get there ok ,
I am nearing the end of Autumn and it started snowing, already the snow is deep with -30 temps.
Just got back to my cab in time be for frostbite nearly killed me. BRUTAL is the only way to describe it. My driver started shivering and so did i.

I have a few questions to those who got through their first winter.

Whilst driving my windscreen and wipers keep freezing and i have to keep getting out the cab to scrape the screen and wipers. I have the cab heater on but it does not seem to keep the frost at bay. Is this normal ?.
I bought the tier 2 truck for this journey and i am looking for the cab lights and cant find them anywhere in the cab. I was fumbling around in my cab in the dark and my guy is just about dead from the cold. I have a winter coat on and just a little window left where i can still see clearly. I made a dash to the mechanic shop for repairs and quit the game to desk top. This is where ile begin my next session.

Any tips at all is greatly appreciated to stop my driver becoming a ice Popsicle.. Brutal...

hmmm... that dont look normal =? atleast that your character get cold while have the header on

The game forgets your have your coat on also forgets the heater is on. Make sure your coat icon is on screen and turn heater off and on. I made it through by keep checking these. The snow drifts are game breaking because the xp is bugged and you cant get the perk to remove them.. So if you get caught on the dalton with a snow drift probably game over, Unless you can off road around it. Seems the game hads a memory leak. Good luck.

I started my game this morning and the weather is totally different to what it was when i closed it down. -30 temps on shutdown and +4 on restart this morning.
You are correct. I have my snow coat on and there is no icon on the screen to say im wearing it. Unequipped the coat and reequipped and the icon was then shown on the screen.
The snow drifts . Ahhh yes. I ploughed into one on the way up the Dalton. No CB warnings letting me know it was there. I managed to drive around it and carry on with my journey.

This journey caught me off guard and i am pleased i was well equipped to handle it. I am showing past the half point in Autumn and the journey to Prudhoe started off good and then the snow came down.. Total white out half way up the Dalton. Putting a coat on and it not registering that your wearing it is not good. I only just survived this journey.

This is old but not getting many search results...jackets still dont work but is just an irritation. My main issue these days is I put the radiator cover on in late fall and it seems like that also does nothing. My coolant warning is red almost all of the time and after awhile driving it goes yellow. Its basically giving me 80% engine damage every 1000 miles and pretty much all of that juicy seasonal bonus is just going into repairs. Cool game but still seems to have a lot of issues, this is the first one thats actually ruining my experience quite a bit. Taking it off and putting it back does nothing. I thought maybe it was one of those realism catches and left my engine on all the time when I played yesterday as you would irl except when doing a repair myself and that makes no difference. I am powering through at minimal profit just to keep my xp going at the moment.
