Editor: How do you delete units?

I've placed a single redon crystal in an unplayed map, but I just can't find a way to delete it now that it's placed.

I think I've tried everyhing
alt click, backspace, delete, moving it outside of the map. Nothing works.
What's the deal?

hover over it with your mouse and use your destroy unit hotkey
