(3) Arc Eternal holds its own as a game and I'd say thats worth playing regardless of this newer title as it has pretty large amount of challenge and variety to it and the graphics are pretty similar minus the 3d view.
Creeper World games are kind of a mix of a RTS and a tower defence game against a liquid enemy called the creeper. You build up your economy, your infrastructure and your defences to hold against the incoming creeper before pushing out to secure objectives.
All of the Creeper World games have demos available on the developers website, and the CW4 demo is available on steam, feel free to try them out and get a better idea of how the games play.
What can you guys tell me about Particle Fleet? I imagine it's set in the same world. Is it before the Creeper World games?
All the games have demos that you can try out. The older games' demos are on the knucklecracker website. CW4 has a demo on Steam.
The Demos are typically the first 5 levels of the full game.
Note that if you buy one or more games individually, Steam eill recalcualte the bumdle price when you decide to buy the bundle, so you won't lose out if you buy one or two individually before buying the bundle.
Just wanted to say, I appreciate the insights you guys gave. These games do no disappoint, and I'm looking forward to playing Creeper World 3 & 4
They all have some sort of story but never got in the way as this one does. They need to drop the so called story telling and just improve the games performance.
I will be sticking with CW-3 and particle fleet I think.
I agree. I ended up playing them all in order and the story, watching it blossom, was utterly beautiful.
