Showing green areas?

How do you show the green area where the towers collect energy?
It stopped showing showing at mission 4 for no reason... Also, is there the same option for mines? I don't even know if several mines can work on the same location... the UI is confusing comparing to the previous games :'(

In the opening log it says "Soylent energy generation failure Soylent: offline"
and at the bottom of the screen there is a flashing caution symbol with text that says tower energy offline

in this mission soylent is regained when you get the infocache

mines don't have a soylent field but when placing or selected they show a green and red rectangle that shows which tiles below it are on resource terrain, that is all that matters for mines, pack as many of them together as you can
