Going by the sales this game has, we're probably going to get more Katamari ports in the future. It's simply good business sense.
I think what happened was people were expecting more modern mechanics, like jumping, more levels, etc when this is literally just an HD port of the original.
/agree
And couldn't care less about their expectations. I love KDR
WOW
NEXT THING YOU'LL BE TELLING ME THE SKY IS BLUE OR THAT DARK SOULS IS PUNISHING
My issue with this game so far is mostly that the charge n roll skill is just impossible to use properly on a PS4 controller, and how more often than not you get "stuck" on an unavoidable angle or pothole. And I think the latter happened in the original as well, so...cant fault em for sticking true to the original.
Admittedly I got this on a sale, but even then I dont regret buying this game. You know what I regret? FF8 "remastered". Bought it, played it, asked for a refund as fast as I could. Saw this game on sale and bought this instead.
Honestly, after the trash that is FF8:R, this is a breath of fresh air.
Hahaha, the soundtrack is amazing, but yeah, way too loud on default.
Having the game auto-pause whenever you tab out or go to a second screen is somewhat of an annoyance too. But once again, nothing too extreme.
No I mean the controls suck, and I don't think anyone is complaining about Katamari requiring 'skill'. The 'alternative' control set would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that left/right and up/down are the wrong way around.
Also Dark Souls isn't a 'punishing' game, it's just pattern recognition. You can be a complete dunce and still get through it. Monkeys can recognize simple patterns too. Games don't sell that well when they're difficult.
