Gifts are not activated?

i believe it was on star 2 that my first gift given was the scarf but i failed to save my game afterwards and lost it, got the screenshot. And ever since, i'm now on star 6. but absolutely no gifts have dropped. So why no auto save? and how do i get the king to start dropping gifts again? very disappointing, i'd also like to know just what about this game makes it a "casual" game? just asking ... many thanks in advance for your time

Not entirely sure what you're saying, but you don't receive "gifts".

Presents are like any other item in the game, if you missed a scarf in star 2 you can go back there and roll it over again.

There's a present in almost every level. You just need to find them.

About the no autosave; it's a old game and lazy port, not much to say about it, that's just how it is.

thanks for the reply, i kinda figured it out just after posting it and re-reading . just strange that i have not found it the second time, or any other item atm. i will go back to find them. Thanks again!

They're very well hidden in most levels and a lot of them are very small- so you can only collect them early in the level.

Some are also very large meaning you have to go out of your way to get huge to get them

you only keep the present if it is in your katamari by the end of the level
