XBox 360 controller wont work.

I've tried the aforementioned fixes: 1) toggling the forced on/off options every which way in the properties menu and restarting the game 2) trying to mess with the gamepad options in the game menu.
Please help! I love this game, but not enough to play it with the awkward keyboard controls.

I've seen Steam's controller overlay have conflicts with games that have native controller support. Try this: start Steam in Big Picture mode, go into Settings > Controller Settings, make sure everything is unchecked. Exit Big Picture mode, start KDR and see if it works.

Ok, I figured it out with a little fiddling. So, what ended up working: I launched it through big picture mode, went to the controller application options, selected forced on and rumble on.

I experienced the same thing. Was afraid there might be no controller support like a few other ported games. Need to try this and see if it fixes it for me too cuz that default keyboard setup is way too drunk

EDIT: Ahh muh goodness. I only unchecked the first option in controller settings (only one that was checked) and it works! Excited to enjoy this game finally.

Additionally I just noticed, because this game starts in what looks like 720p Window mode, I natually press Alt+ENTER to make it fullscreen. Apparently this shortcut does not work for this game. Someone made this the shortcut to switch to keyboard instead of switch to fullscreen. What a troll!!!!!
