yeah. For me, beautiful katamari was the definitive game
Hey, we have four Tales games on Steam. Why not? :Colette2:

We Love Katamari was the best. Then tribute.

I would not buy it as standalone, maybe as a 5$ DLC. Releasing only the PS2 version without any mention is already deceptive enough that I would not give them the pleasure of dishing out more for something that should be a complete edition in the first place.

What on earth are you talking about? It's a re-release of the first game. Why would anyone think it was anything other than the PS2 game? Why would it necessarily include anything from We love katamari or any of the other sequels? Where's the deception?

I just want to see We Love Katamari on PC. Beautiful Katamari was alright but they remade the same levels over and over again and locked the more interesting ones behind a dlc paywall.

Nobody needs Beautiful Katamari.
Katamari Forever is the one they should have ported (or We <3 if all they wanted to do was one of the OG PS2 games). It's the most fleshed out and has the most content.

BK is like a now worthless beta version of KF.

Beautiful Katamari would have been a fine game if they didn't sell half the levels as DLC. I understand why they did it but it really did hurt the game with how short it was. If they ported it, gave it the basic touch ups, and included all the levels, it would be a good release IMO.

This. Pretty sure KF/KT had all the stages from BK (including DLC) + several from the first two games + 3 new ones. Really, I would have preferred they just ported that over instead of this half-assed remaster of the first one.
KF ported would be nice be it's definitely not a replacement for the first 2 games. The level pacing is awful (sometimes less than half of the time in the original games) because you're expected to use powerups to get a large portion of items, and said powerups are just outright broken on some of the older levels. Plus there are plenty of great levels that weren't included, lots of which are in this game. The soundtrack also wasn't as good. There are a few good songs (Lonely Rolling No More is probably one of my favorite songs in the whole series) but overall the music did fall short compared to the rest of the series, it was mostly just remixes that were a hit or miss.

KF used to be my favorite entry in the series in the sense that's it's a one-stop nostalgia trip but re-playing it on a PS3 emulator now older made a lot of the flaws more apparent.
