How to change cousins?
I tried going to the space mushroom, i select a cousin but nothing changes, using a ps4 controller.

You can't can't your character in this one unless it's for co-op, it's only the Prince. Changing characters wasn't a thing until the 2nd game.

The space mushroom is for the 2-player versus mode. Both players have to pick a cousin, and since you only have one controller, you're unable to select one for player 2.
