One of the reviews I saw mentioned that you have to finish the tutorial first or something before you get an options menu. If true that's pretty annoying :P

I can't even finish the tutorial. Controller doesn't work, and the only keyboard controls that work are to move left and right.

Took me a few minutes to figure out what the UI was trying to get across.
You move my using both sticks at the same time. Each arrow is representing each stick.
To move forward, you hold both sticks forward, or press both keys together, etc.

No, I figured out the problem. The problem is you can't have Steam set to support PS4 controllers, ONLY Xbox. But it still gives me DS4 button prompts. Go figure. A lot of games have this bug. When you finally get to the home planet, you have to go to control options and press square/X to get to the graphics options. Has borderless window, nice.

... which is ridiculously clumsy for such an expensive game.

Yeah, Bamco released a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port. Not exactly the biggest surprise, considering Tales of Symphonia. At least controllers actually work in this game, unlike Saint's Row 3.

I'm glad I still have a working PS2, so I could always replay KD on it if I want to heh heh

That's all well and good, but you also said the keyboard was only making you move left and right, which is what happens when you don't press the keys together.

You have to finish the tutorial level (with a keyboard) in order to access the settings. You'll be able to switch to a controller and fullscreen after that.

Should just be available from the get-go...

my only issue is that it boots up at ungodly earape volumes

Typical NAMCO, what a great first impression to the game. Guess i'll just speed through this, then do the tutorial again and pay attention to the lines.... so I can actually enjoy it the way it was intended

Wow when I first read this I was sure you were joking.
But no, you literally need to finish the tutorial and the tutorial level before you get the chance to change your RESOLUTION?

That 720p default window looks very tiny on a big monitor, that was... "an experience" lets call it that...

Even though it's not fully supported on Win10, I use a DS4 with no problem, and for 99% of games that "don't support" PS4 controllers, you can just use DS4Windows. I don't think there's a single game on Steam where I've not been able to use a DS4 or XBOX controller as long as I use DS4Windows, ReWSAD, or a similar program, nor have they caused any issues with anticheats if you're concerned about using 3rd party software. As far as the wrong prompts, it's more to do with the lack of support on Windows vs Steam. Anyhow, some games simply don't offer prompts for both controllers on PC, while others have options in-game to reflect controller prompts accordingly. Some games will only show PS4 prompts when plugged in but not when connected by Bluetooth, and disabling PS4 controller support in Steam itself causes it to only use Direct Input, so some games will recognize it and others that only use XInput won't work.

Once you can access your home planet (ie place with the save house and everything) one of the buildings has pc settings lumped in with it. It's labeled, just not intuitive.
