Xbox controller no longer working

I was able to get my xbox controller to work with the game last night, but, now it just won't work with the game for some reason. I put on 'I am Bread' and the controller works no problem.

I keep messing with those forced on/off controller settings in the games preferences but nothing is working. Help plz.

This game recognizes my controller but the controller doesn't do anything - just forces pc controls.

If it's forcing your K&M try unplugging them after you get in the game.

I found something that worked for me!! I'll leave the details here just in case someone else was having the same issue as me.

*note* I had my controller plugged in before I loaded the game up and I also had the controller setting already set to 'Forced On'

1. Load up the game and go to the home/menu planet
2. Walk to and open the Control Config/ Display Settings option
3. Go to gamepad and scroll through the choices. If you're like me you will have multiple (I had 3, thinking it was just one) 'Xinput Gamepad' options as well as 'none'
4. While scrolling the choices move the left stick or d-pad on the controller up and down until one of the options works!

I couldn't believe I accidentally stumbled on my fix finally!! Hope this helps someone out there!

Hey, so this was my problem as well for my Logitech F310 Gamepad and in addition to the above, I also switched it from X to D on the back of the controller. I have no idea why that worked.
