It's his personality. This kid is supposed to be incredibly innocent (maybe plucky) and, well, a kid. While Tails is a Boy Genius whose main role is being the sidekick and mechanic of the gang.

Also, Lucky only has one tail. This means he's a normal fox. Tails is slightly based on the nine-tailed fox concept, wherein the more tails a fox has, the more "special" they are or more "power" they have, with nine being the maximum. Lucky doesn't follow that standard.
I thought this a Sonic spin-off game at first look too. The colors of the tail are the same. This is really close to, if not, copywright infringement.

There are only so many colours a fox would have...

Anyway, how many tails do you count? Last time I checked, the Sega Tails had 3, so what's the issue again?

Last time you checked?? Must've been a long time ago, because "Miles Prower" aka Tails, has 2 tails, not 3. Maybe you should check again and lessen your ignorance.

Actually the colors aren't the same. That wasn't my focus really at all. If the colors were the same, then it's possible that it would be copy-right infringement, but not likely. They both wear gloves and shoes, but what really got me thinking that too, was the shape of the eyes. Kinda like how Seth MacFarlane adopted some of Matt Groening's; the same round bulbous eyes you see between Family Guy and Simpons. There is some unique designs between the 2, like how Tails has 5 fingers, and Lucky only has 4. I just couldn't help but think of this as a Tails Stand-Alone Game.

I'm not knocking the game, because I wouldn't mind trying it out at some point. Despite those difference in interests, hobbies, and/or professions, would you say that their personalities are pretty similiar??

Checking on Tales's tail isn't quiet on my priority list, so I got that from my childhood memory, and that's how I remembered it. I'm not sure why you throw insults around for something that pity, but I wouldn't say I'm ignorant because I didn't remember if Tail had 2 or three tails exactly, I just remembered him not having only 1 (it's been at least 15 years since I played a Sonic game, so calm down). Besides, you are the one calling out the dev for copying a Sega franchise, despite you knowing the differences of the obvious character features... what would you call that?

PS If you ment that I am ignorant because I didn't do a google search, then flip boing back at you, because you could have googled the differences yourself... hypocracy at its finest!

I wasn't throwing insults around. I was simply stating the fact that you could lessen your ignorance. learn or re-learn. If you're insulted by that, then that's your problem.

I'm pretty sure the word you're looking for is "Petty", not "Pity".

And I don't recall my post ever calling out the Developers specifically. I was asking a simple* question to the community. At the time, it seemed like the only difference was the cape, because I was going off of childhood memories myself. But, then I took the iniative and looked it up for myself.

But then again, you didn't exactly read my other replies, or you would've actually noticed that I did look it up and compare the two characters. No, instead you let my words penetrate your butthole. Yes, what a fine definition of "Hypocracy" and "Contradictory" you perfectly demonstrated.

Yes, it was. Thank you :). I'll go ahead and change that now.

Pretty sure there was a misunderstanding here due to how the opening post is presented.
It sounds as if you are being passive-aggressive (if I'm not mistaking the term) towards the game.

Not attacking you BTW, just try to see what I mean~

No, the OP was not "passive-aggressive," completely different thing. He was just remarking, and at first glance, i thought the same thing, looks like a Sonic/Tails game.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, even the colouring is identical. Then I saw it was Sega as well, so all thought of how they got around copyright were dismissed by me :)

This is a Sega game? It says Microsoft/Playful Corp on the store page, am I missing something?

No, the coloring isn't identical, though I thought it was too. And Playful Corp. seems to be their own entity. It doesn't appear that they're a direct affiliate to Sega or other gaming companies. Although, it does seem that they're "Inspired" quite a bit by other games, like the game Creativerse and how they were inspired by Minecraft.

Don't forget Star Child!
