Got this from AAO on the COG Forum:
Ignore phone call, use best persona when dealing with Rhycliff, exaggerate the untamed attack, and tell Rhycliff you are in pursuit of the Wyvern.
It worked

personally i feel like the texting option should have been somewhat more respectable. perhaps with more varieties in lines to make it polite, or not.

because i think everyones been in that situation before. where they're busy an theres someone calling/texting. i think in this day an age people can understand you taking a few seconds to reply before resuming your interview/personal time with people. after all you are there to get to know people.

i also feel like in a hero course being rewarded for honesty should be a thing. sure its not the most public image friendly option but there are people who'd appreciate the fact you weren't using platitudes in the media. especially in todays climate where everyones blowing smoke.

I disagree about being more understandable about texting. When you're busy, your phone should be on silent mode or completely turn off. The same when you're at a table, eating with people. That's my opinion. It's about how I was brought up.

I agree about being rewarded for honesty. It's a hero thing to be honest after all, while it's also true some heroes might use white lies to avoid upsetting people. To protect them. Personally, my policy is honesty.

By the way, I took a C in the Media test. My choices were:
  1. Ignoring the phone
  2. Confronting the journalist about Tress
  3. Telling the truth about the Wyvern stuff

My persona is not really well-defined:
  1. Charmer 65%
  2. Jokester 14%
  3. Brooder 37%
  4. Traditionalist 56%

While I am sure the options have an effect on the final grade, I think this challenge is more based on your fame (Yay) rather than your persona. I think your ability to influence the crowd and your popularity has more of an effect on how well you deliver any kind of news. (but I could be wrong).

Got an A for mine.

First off my toon's stats (just incase it counts):

Archetype:
Detective; lvl 3

Persona:
  • Charmer: 20%
  • Jokester: 15%
  • Brooder: 87% (before talk, around 79%)
  • Traditionalist: 20%

Yay:
Forgot it at the moment, but it should've been around 30%-35% before the talk.

How to get an A from my toon's perspective:
  1. Ignore the phone.
  2. Be nice and formal to the reporter (before your partner leaves for bthrm).
  3. Tell him that you're waiting for him to apologize to Tress.
  4. Exaggerate the attack that you did with Crook.
  5. Be honest that you've no lead with the Wyvern.

Hope this helps you guys out!

Ugh, you are my savior. I wasn't able to guess the logic for my brooder even after cheating with savestate copying before interview. All my tries leed to C. This change of attitude is pretty mad thing to guess as well as the need to exaggerate the attack.
I noticed thought, that this jerks phrase at the end of interview changes depending on how you answer.
