4th tonic slot?
So am i missing something or did the game just trolled me? I adquired the 4th tonic slot... but you have to equip it in the tonics menu, so it technically gives you an extra slot, but you lose another by equiping it, so you are pretty much in the same state lol. Trowzer ended tricking me apparently, but i burnt his house, so its ok xD.

You will unlock the real 4th tonic slot only if are able to collect every single T.W.I.T. coins in game and donate to poor Trowzer.

Not only that, but by the time you've unlocked the true 4th tonic slot. You won't need it. Or rather you won't be able to use it, because the only thing left at that point is the Impossible Lair and you can't use tonics in it.

Well, I guess you could use the 4th tonic slot to help farm the quills you need to buy all the other tonics a little faster... but like... why? I didn't find the game fun enough to farm quills to buy all the tonics. And most of them are useless anyway. And if you're a completionist and want to get all the tonics and not just all of the achievements, you're gonna have to do the Impossible Lair level on a separate new save file and get through it without taking a single hit-- which is insane. Only a small handful of the most amazing players will be able to pull it off, so good luck with that.

Indeed, the true 4th tonic slot is a horrible joke... :OhNo:

Yeah, I can't help but think that there must have been a better way to implement the tonics in general. Most of them have no practical effect. The idea of collecting certain tonics to access previously unreachable areas within levels... Combining tonics plus skill proficiency to get items to unlock a secret level or something? I dunno, maybe that's more of a Metroidvania kind of thing, but I just feel there is a lost opportunity here. I suppose it'd be worse if they were just empty collectibles that had no effect whatsoever, but I haven't used any of the "change the graphics" tonics so for me, they aren't much more than that.

you can take hits inb the golden try, I've already doneit. you just have to not die.
it's regualr rules, no bees means a hit makes laylee fly away, another kills you - and there's no bells to bring laylee back. and no checkpoints to revive with her.
so essentially, you can take unlimite dhits, proivided you catch laylee

there's a few tonics ive been using since i found them, making quills drop more ( since oyu need about 3grand to complete the game ) to make it harder - and i use the one for the twirly move add on move - it's proven invaluable in getting all the coins and stuff. And there's other neat stuff as well liek a better roll , faster running, just stuff to mix it up. And i happen to like the grpahical ones, oyu can make some neat lookin stuff with em.
