Save location?

Anyone know where it is? I use to make save backups of my games.

You sure about this? I had just deleted those files in that folder, and the saved game was still selectable in-game. Steam Cloud isn't even enabled.

I also deleted the remote folder, and it is not even re-created.

Whenever I try to replace save files with updated ones (the ones I copied from newer game earlier from the save folder) the game is reset to the very beginning and I lose my progress. The steam cloud is disabled. I don't get what I do wrong.

Yea obviously the game is saved somewhere else now, this suggestion doesn't work at all. Even when I deleted all saved slots inside the game itself starting a new game, then I copy any later save to the folder - it doesn't chage anything, the game still starts from the very beginning.

Oh great now I found out the cause of this - it was my antivirus. The game started from the beginning every time because antivirus blocked something, some sort of access or whatever.
