Ultrawide support?
Are ultrawide 21:9 resolutions supported?

No. The developers have planned out the game carefully so that you will only see what is needed on screen in that moment.

Any wider and it would ruin certain surprises in game.

Always the same lame excuse for being lazy! Will wait for a deep deep sale.

How would that be a lame excuse when it is a design choice by the developers?
Were you there sitting with them when they considered the ratio the game should be played at? I prefer to play certain old-school type of games in 4:3 ratio (if offered) simply because platformers used to be that in the past and if a dev decides to design their game that way then it is solely their choice. I am well aware we almost reached 2020 but jeez get a hold of yourself and let devs do their thing with their games o.o

Even if that were the case (as MaD-MaX's comment proves otherwise) it can be solved with design too.

Want ultrawide and a surprise? Just an idea for that: Fog of war. Might seem silly but it'd probably work.

design choice = less work = lazy

Sorry that you feel this way, but this was a design choice purely based on discovering the story and world that the game is set in.

no ultrawide = refund.

Very sorry guys, but I played (and loved!) the first one in ultrawie, not gonna put up with a newer game not supporting my monitors resolution!

Nope, I just launch the game and automatically set my native resolution, 2560x1080

Now that I actually got to download and play the game I can also confirm that this game FULLY supports ultrawide out of the box!

The Stages as well as the overworld are both hor+ as they should be.
Held my Switch version right next to it just to double check.

Why someone with a dev account would spread misinformation about the game is beyond me, please don't trust those posts!

Well this is a surprise for me! Last time I checked ultrawide wasn't in there. It must have been snuck in. Very sorry for giving you the wrong info. Hope you enjoy the game!

The ultrawide is kind of a lie - It actually just zooms in. Set your rest to a 16:9 one and you'll see what I mean :P

It supports it, but its better if you don't use it tbh. Because of that you're actually seeing less of the game...

Good example of zoomed in is when you're on the map, the world title covers the press Y to enter level prompt. We're only getting the game stretched out on the X axis. But less of the Y Axis. Y ? :P

So yes it is Ultrawide, but not really.

So it is a ultrawide by cropping. If it still works for people, cool, as long as they don't miss out little hints that are sometimes placed at the edge of the screen. Just because it works does not mean the game was designed to be played "cropped" in.
