Yet another Secret Message topic
EDIT: I managed to achieve "Secret Message" so i decided to write some sort of guide to help who's struggling with the trophy.

Ok, first of all it's important to understand that i DO NOT have any source code, so i unlocked the achievement by trial and error. If anyone will try my method DO NOT blame me if it does not work because I have no proof whatsoever that is the correct way to do it, it just happened to work for me. Ok, here we go under spoiler:

ACHIEVEMENT SPOILER

The developer yeo hinted on twitter that for the achievement to unlock you have to make all 3 school girls fall in love with you: Aiko, Mariko and Yuna. Each of them has a unique way of falling in love, Aiko after tutoring her in maths, Yuna after you read all the books she like and you talk with her about them and finally Mariko, who still is a big mistery.
That's what i did, i spoke with Mariko during the very FIRST DAY of school (she will mention something like Life is Suffering). During the first week i did not study anything at all (if you increase too much the grades she will stop talking to you) but i spoke always to Aiko (do it just to be sure).
I concentrated on other tasks such as READING ALL BOOKS (VERY IMPORTANT) (from library and bookshop) going to gym, attending judo club, making money, increasing HP, whatever you want but do not study and fail the first test (on saturday).

Then, i started to study slowly, increasing just MATHEMATICS, a little bit at time, not all at once, on the second test you should get a D, or a C. I spoke with Mariko once more on day 12 (she will speak about Aiko). When you finally get an A in mathematics you can find Aiko in the library from 17:00 to 19:00. When you speak with her in the library then RUSH to home and wait there for her, she will come to study with you. For the next TWO days you HAVE to stay at home before 20:00, she will come to study twice.

After you did that you can concentrate on studying Literature, increasing it slowly until you score an A so you can speak with Yuna (ONLY before first class, so go to school at 7:00 and speak with her while she's alone). You have to speak with her about all the books she like and since i cannot remember what those books were is better to read them all previously).
Speak every day with Yuna and Aiko and check if you can speak to Mariko (but DO NOT SPEAK WITH HER). If you can't speak with Mariko there is something wrong and you have to go back to a previous save.

Do not increase other subjects, just the ones i told you and i don't know if it influenced something but i also bought the Golden Chain (dunno what it does). Then, i finally spoke with Mariko on day 45 (she will speak about a trip to Kyoto). After that i went out of school at 11:00 and the scene for the "Secret Message" achievement unlocked.

That's what i know, like i said, it's NOT guaranteed it will work. So do it knowing that. If it works though, please come back here and report that it worked, thank you

OLD MESSAGE:
Hello, I've seen some "secret message" achievement topics with few to no response. I am at my second playthrough and I have to say i'm actually loving the game and preparing a really good review for my blog.
That being said, Is there some tip to activate the achievement? It's the last One i Need and seems like i got hints from characters here and there on who might be interested in Ringo but nothing concrete. Thanks to whoever takes the time ti answer this!

Ok guys, i managed to get it. If someone's interested in achieving "Secret Message" I might give you a detailed walkthrough of how I did it, even though it's not guaranteed 100% it's worth a shot.

Hi 7gatsu, I'm interested for your walkthrough. PLEASE HELP ME MY FRIEND :lunar2019shockedpig:

Hello 7gatsu, I followed your walktrough but do you remember how many % you had in literature ? Because even with a "A" in literature I can't speak to Yuna =(
Also your walktrough includes the events with the friends of Ringo ? I think a lot of them can "destroy" the path to have this achievement

I am sorry but i don't Remember the exact % but remember that Yuna will only speak to you when no one's around, so you HAVE to speak with her only around 7:00 AM, when she's the only one in the classroom. I am pretty sure that she speaks to you when you get an A in literature, after the scene with the professor in the classroom saying how good Ringo's essay was (the event that Sparks Yuna interest in Ringo). Remember also that you have to read all the books.

The events with Ringo friends will sooner or later activate, nothing you can do about it so plan accordingly.

Yes it was the same as the guide =)

I think of something,

- For Aiko you need to teach her maths
- For Yuna you need to reading all the books
- For Mariko, maybe you need to level up Ringo until the level 10 ?

Learning / Reading / Fighting
the three main things what can we do in the game, maybe the solution ?
I want to try but I'm a little bit frustrated haha

Didn't think of the level at first, but that might play a role, it's really hard to find out what triggers Mariko...
To avoid frustration i suggest you keep a save around Day 12, when you speak with mariko for the second time, and you just play with autosave from that point on, so if you screw up later you can always go back to day 12, without restarting from scratch

Well the "level max Ringo run" and the "watch all the videos run" do not work too
The only thing I did not try is for the $5000 yellow bag,
if we can give it back to the girl from the left class...
But after that I have no more ideas haha

Good idea for the save around day 12, I keep it in mind for the next time thanks ! =)

Running out of ideas here, i also moved in class while in delinquent mode and i flipped the Coin a lot, don't know if that's what mariko's info, lol

I’ve been playing the Mac version and I had a poke around in the game files. I found all the transcripts for cutscenes and dialogues inside. Interestingly, Mariko’s dialogues are grouped into 2 sets. Set 2 includes the one about Aiko, prom and Kyoto. Judging from your experience above, this is the dialogue branch that needs to be triggered and finished to complete Mariko’s path.

So I had a play around trying to see what triggers Mariko’s Aiko dialogue in the first place. Speaking to Aiko made no difference, so don’t bother with that. Speaking to Mariko too often cancelled the Aiko dialogue. So I tried leaving a couple of days between interactions with her. I spoke to her on day 2,5,11 and 17. I got the prom dialogue on day 11, and Kyoto dialogue on day 17. So most likely inactivity is her trigger. Leave 2–3 school days between interacting with her. She’s not interested if you’re too interested I suppose.

***UPDATE. Studying hard didn't affect anything. It's definitely the inactivity that's the trigger. 2 school days between will do.***

I didn’t study, but I have a gut feeling that learning doesn’t directly affect triggering Mariko’s dialogue branch. Studying does trigger Yuna’s and Aiko’s path though, going forward with either of those might cancel Mariko’s path (not sure though). She might be uninterested if you’re interested in someone else. There’s a cutscene with Shiro and Ringo, where they elaborate what makes Mariko tick. Apparently she wants to be special, so probably best not to pursue the other 2.

I did get an A in literature during day 13 tests, which lead to Yuna’s path starting on day 15. I didn’t interact with Yuna just in case.

I started Aiko’s and continued with Yuna’s path after getting the Kyoto dialogue on day 17. Finishing those lead to getting the achievement.

Tips:
1) You only need to read Anna, Brothers and Sybarite for Yuna.
2) You only need to speak to Aiko outside the classroom after you’ve done the tutoring. She acing the tests dialogue finishes her path (it’ll be the second one after tutoring).
3) Have Masaru join your party before entering the school, having him with you cancels cutscenes.

That's incredible detailed informations! Thank you for adding these! So we might finally get it through and help everybody else! Good job!
