Unexplained impact damage

Was stationary collecting minerals when all of sudden alarms go off and I'm sent into a slow spin.

All thrusters and RCS were damaged equally on all sides of the ship and my cargo pod was knocked loose. CPU was damaged as well

The problem is nothing hit me. It wasn't the meter storm and there was no combat going on. The area around me was empty except for the or my drones were dragging in. All I was doing was minor turns to line up shots on rocks at the edge of the screen with my laser

It was the third time i had an unknown impact happen during the dive. The first two were minor "boings" with no damage, but this last one hurt.

Each time I zoomed in to look for something bouncing off to explain the impact, but I found nothing.

Can't find an explanation in the log file either.

So either someone is firing dark matter bullets at me or maybe there is something weird going on with the Elon and external Cargo containers.

Did you per chance get a warning about entering a xaser burn pathway ? Those can hit you HARD to the point they can fry a Cothon's computer even with the shielding, and it's not clear (for me anyway) which areat hey're gona hit.

No warning, nothing in log file. Just sudden unexplained pain

Ok I have video evidence of this now. It has got MUCH worse now. Essentially breaks the game for me.

I recorded this off my phone, so sorry for the quality. I can trigger the same effect by spinning the ship, but not as bad.

It's very difficult to make anything out of that video. While I can see that something almost tore away the cargo bay doors on your ship, with the resolution of the phone recording, combined with lack of focus and other recording artefacts it's just impossible to see if that was actual impact or some physics quirk.

You say if can be replicated by spinning your ship?

Problem seems fixed in 517.2

At least much improved. Will need to play longer as the original version triggered after about an hours play

The info about it being triggered by rotation was the key - when I had an easy way to replicate, fixing is also swift.
