The $300k derelict subscription thing seems undertuned
I've paid $900k and only once have I gotten an alert of a derelict, which was a K37 that only sold for ~$230k. Is the expected ROI more than what you put in to it and I'm just really unlucky?

$300k isn't a huge amount, but I don't see why I would waste money on it if I only get one derelict in 3 months.

I may be wrong and I should probably ask in the discord but I think the subscription will have someone message you after X amount of time and give you wreck coordinates.

how people view the SRO system is pretty much binary from what i've seen, there's been a lot of people say that it's not worth it, and a lot of people that say that it's overpowered and needs to be nerfed.

the calls works purely on the event system, and has a roughly 3.15% chance of happening every event roll (3/95 is the exact formula), with the event call occurring every 7 and a half minutes. pretty much it always skews to longer dives.
The problem comes from going out in a ship more focused on salvaging, odds are you aren't going to be able to mine for as long so when you run out of other reasons to stay out in the rings and you still haven't hit on a broadcast event you'll more likely end the run than just sit around waiting for a radio broadcast to chime in, because that would be boring.

When you do get a broadcast you should be getting at least two spawns sometimes three. If you get lucky on your EVAs and or bring an ARM with you you can easily bring in several derelicts at once. If these events spawns were any more reliable it would easily replace mining as an activity entirely. That's what balances it in my opinion, it's very random.
I got zero broadcasts in my first month, then two in the second month. Both times I was out in my K225, armless as could be. Noun's observation - that you're more likely to get salvage info when you're not in your dedicated salvage craft - is a good one, and I agree that it feels bad to miss out just because you happened to be in the wrong ship at the moment the broadcast comes in.

One possible way to ameliorate the issue: If the salvage sites lasted ~48 hours instead of 24, you would actually be able to scramble back to Enceladus and swap to a salvage ship. There'd still be a little time pressure to make it to multiple wrecks after returning to the rings.

Or perhaps the system could be reworked to provide salvage site info when you're on-station, so you can choose an appropriate ship for your dive to begin with. This is how I imagined it would work when I first read about it.

Seems like this could use a pity system where you're more likely to get a broadcast the longer you haven't gotten one.
So far i've thrown 600k into the void with nothing to show for it, which doesnt seem great.
I'll keep paying because money doesn't matter but it sure seem the service could use some tweaking.
