Life Pod Rescue: Paid Myself for Rescuing my Own Crew
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2823471619

Tried to boot up a derelict and it exploded, leaving my crew member in a life pod. Upon scooping it up and heading back to station...I got a 50k reward for it.

Who paid that?

a pod is always 50k worth and it is a pod from a other ship not from your ship.

Considering that the life pod came as a result of a ship I was trying to salvage exploding with a crew member on board, no, that's my own crew member.

^This. I got paid for my own crew member as well. Honestly, if there was a choice, I'd rather they returned to my crew immediately if I grabbed their pod than being paid and having to wait the two weeks or whatever it is.

Well, they're probably injured. But I'd like them to be put aboard my ship so I can get the damn life pod out of my MPU

i do not know what you do not understand about it ? the life POD is part of a ship and the ship it came from is not your ship, every lifepod is worth every time 50k because it is a equipment you can not use at your own ship because there is one at your ship, you can leave it there if you want, your crewmember will not die and will have the same injuries and not usable the same time.

yes i agree it would be better to have a storeplace for them (they are damn big and block MPU's) but it is the way it was intented, that the ship is build around the POD.

It is more realistic to be not able to get ppl out of it because there is no additional room at the ship.

As i said if you do not like to get the POD back leave it there and proceed your mission it will not kill your crewmember (so far i was leaving a POD behind, every crewmember was not lost).

It would be different in the future because some lifepods send messages about critical conditions of lifesupport systems but this is in the hands of the developers.

So I just rescued my own crew member, and now I get to sell him living inside his functional life pod as "an anomaly".
It doesn't make any sense. It's a rescue pod. He's safe in his pod. Did so many missions with this pilot and doing stories with the crew, and now we can just sell the guy, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lol.

are you brain dead ?

reaching enceladus you sell the POD the crew member is injured and at the med station you can see how long the member is not available for service in the crew management.
