Can I edit my save to add money without cheat engine?

this mod here can be used to edit your save, however do note that if you do use it, it will mark your save as cheated and you can no longer earn achievements or leaderboard placings on it, so make backups: https://github.com/ZakrinYoran/SaveEdit

edit: since the mod repo doesn't explain how to install it, i'll summarize it here.
step 1. download the latest release of the mod from the releases section
step 2. Go to the location of the Delta-V executable. It should contain a file named Delta-V.pck, and the Delta-V executable file (extension depends on the operating system)
- Windows: C\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dV Rings of Saturn
- Linux/ChromeOS: ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/dV Rings of Saturn
- OS X: ~\Library\Application Support\Steam\steamapps\commom\dV Rings of Saturn
step 3. Create a folder named "mods"
step 4. open the folder and paste the downloaded zip in here
step 5. right click on delta-v on steam, and click properties.
step 6. in the launch parameters section, put "--enable-mods" in it (without the quotes)
step 7. restart the game

how do i use the mod?? installed it but how do i access the mod? Should the zip be extracted or no?

leave the zip as is, just putting it in the mods folder and having the --enable-mods launch parameter set should suffice. if you did it correctly, you'll see save icons to the left of each save file's delete icon (even on blank saves), and clicking on them will bring up the GUI to let you modify it.
