Has anyone figured out how to start as a bounty hunter?

I can't find the bounty hunters anyway, do i need crew?

Nothing is working, i've been flying around everywhere looking for bounty hunters to help out, i've put claim beacons down, been searching for hours.

I forget the exact process but I know for sure that when you come across other ships, you can press J to go into the menu, and under the Pilot tab have very limited communications with them. Some of them will give you a drop point location where you're supposed to take bounties. But I cannot recall if you need to defeat a pirate and carry their lifepod in your hold beforehand. You may just need to take one or two of those lifepods to Enceladus station a few times before the option begins.

Anyway after all that and you get to that drop point you talk to the big ship there sooner than later you get accepted.

first you have to find the BBW ship. than you have to capture pirates and bring them to BBW (not to enceladus). after a while you get the option to aquire a bounty hunter licence as dialog option.

sometimes you can get a drop point from other bounty hunters but since some time this encounter is getting rare.
