How to Find Radar Anomaly?
So I dived into the rings choosing the Radar Anomaly spot. However I ended up 14 km away, which was too close to plot a course. So I would fly one way and see if the distance decreased or increased as we don't get a bearing. However getting to 6 km it disappeared from my map. Any ideas?

Hmm yeah, I have had this happen to me a couple of times now as well. IDK what causes it nor on how to stop it from happening.

I feel your pain.

There's always a bit of variance in where you end up, but make sure that "allow drift" is deselected on the dive launch screen otherwise you'll potentially end up a good deal away from the target.

From launching at station this helps, but what about from being already in the field.. Does station launch settings save and apply to in field astrogation?

Is the Radar Anomaly always the same thing?

No.

I goto the astrogator screen, and click the home base button (centers crosshair on your ship), then the radar anomaly button (moves crosshair to anomaly). Watching the crosshair while you toggle the destination back and forth will give you a direction hint to fly.

I've also decided that leaving homebase to someplace random, and then asking the astrogator to autopilot you to the anomaly/moonlet/whatever will drop you right on target; leaving homebase and diving right to an unexplored target is very random. My crew is all Master/Expert though, not sure if astrogator and/or pilot quality change the randomness of your landing point.
