Staff has the worst movespeed in the entire game. Add a really poor stamina pool into that with an awful regeneration speed in a CTF game to see how fun it is.
This game is not meant to play a single class, but to swap between 2 in a battle to cover your weaknesses. Sword has its purpose, and its not to deal burst damage (his ultimate can 100-0 slayers tho). Its has great physical dmg reduction and tons of skills that gives you endurance buff (when you turn yellow/purple) and good combo starters.
Seems like it'd be wayyyyyy easier to just stand back and shoot them, you'd actually be able to use your entire moveset instead of only being allowed to realistically do one tiny poke attack and kite around the bosses until your ground-wave-thing skill goes off of cooldown because that actually is the only one that really does any damage to the boss.
Does it get better later? I like a challenge but this feels outright unfair and broken.
This is for PvE, idc about pvp atm.
So keep combos short to give you room to dodge when needed.
But what I'm saying is that even if you do a single attack you often get punished due to how fast some of these bosses are and how much of a delay there is. You cannot cancel your momentum once it starts in anyway and there is a huge delay when trying to stop your attack at any point in the combo, even if you only attack once.
I've seen videos of ranged characters doing PvE and the difference in damage is absolutely disgusting. Like I said the only way to melee from what I see so far is to try to poke the boss a single time and hope to god you don't get immediately punished, and then kite the boss around for hours until your skills go off cooldown and exclusively use the leaping skill and the ground-wave skill(because the million hit skill sucks). Whereas with ranged you can turn off your brain and shoot at range and back away from the boss as needed.
I mean that seems pretty underpowered to me. But this is KoG we're talking about. From Grand Chase to Elsword their games have always put melee characters in extremely awkward positions when they first came out and everyone loves to use range so they try to act as if melee users are an overwhelming powerhouse when the reality is they often have to bend over backwards to siphon any use out of their playstyle.
Hopefully the Fist weapons aren't as stupid as sword is because this is ridiculous.
it can deal damage, don't get me wrong, but it Really shines at destroying the break bar, not the health bar.
