There's no need to show "anything". It's pretty self-explanatory dude. You can't just recreate a video game that already has copyrights and trademarks, then expect nothing to happen. If I made a bootleg version of SSB Ultimate, Nintendo would file a lawsuit and Sakurai would hire a hitman to kill me lol. It's morally wrong to steal someone's game that they created and worked hard on developing, for the intent and purpose of benefiting yourself and stealing their profit.

Then explain to me how Burning Soul Worker, Code Closers, ArcheRage, Crimson Desert Online, and a bunch of other games have their servers still not shutdown and get content at a premium.

Reverse-engineering, code isn't the same, tho they still can sue for using assets but korean companies don't really care, the only thing is bdo was trying to close down pservers and failed.

Private servers are often hosted in regions where it is not against the law. That was my point that was to point how how as per usual Mugens talking out that a**.

Yes, because I definitely said "it's illegal worldwide". Thanks for pointing out something I never disagreed with. Yeah, I know there are loopholes because there are private server still standing, like Void Elsword which KOG unsuccessfully filed a lawsuit against.

well we don't know if it will be F2P for sure yet, but it sure looks like it will based on the B2P/F2P poll in the KurtzPel poll within the official discord :/

Now, you're forgetting about there being cash shop even if it does go f2p, i indeed call throwing money into void when game runs for a few months or year at best and closes down, or worse, gets canceled when you've bought starter/founder packs if there'd be such a thing.

cash shops only ecist if you wanna spend money.
elsword was the same way - have some item slots, want more? pay for em.
do i agree with that model? not rlly, but then again, i dont care for mmorpgs.
I was given a key for cbt ( i never signed up )
and i think the game is actually pretty fun.
I dont see a reason to bother spending cash - but i can see where they can offer shortcuts to ppl that dont wanna grind on missions, so they can unlock more karma subslots, or maybe to buy CP so they can upgrade their weps faster.
and of course, buying more characters, and the inevitble fashion cash grabs.
Im fine with that stuff, I played PSO2 for several years ( it's free to play ) they have a very good buiseness model - i hope other companies follow suit.
but i also sunk a great deal of money into pso2 - bc i enjoyed it.
I realized over time, that MMORPGs arent right for me to sink all my time into, so i quit.
This game fills an itch i've had for awhile - so i can play it o and off and still enjoy it withouth spending cash.

it wont be pay to win for PvP - that model never works, and companies have strayed from it knowing ppl get a sour taste in their motuhs when that hapens.
