recommendations for the Devs as the game goes forwards
this thread is for the kurtzpel community and I's recommended improvements and additions on the game.

So here is a list of my recommended additions and improvements:

1. add in emotes to allow for basic player expression and bonding.

2. make the benches and swing interactive as to allow for more to do in the hub and to help with lag that's caused by crowding.

3. add some sort of small minigame or object to allow players to entertain themselves while waiting and to help with lag caused by crowding.

4. increase the drop rate of cosmetics on max difficulty to around 10% to allow more people to gain the cosmetics that they grind for.

5. a fully usable camera mode to allow people to take pictures of their custom made waifus that they put so much effort into making.

6. focus the PVP on fast paced action (I'm going to explain this a bit more). I've noticed that one of the major complaints about Kurtzpel is about how boring some game modes are. I find that most people (including myself) have the most fun when the game mode encourages fast and furious gameplay. I suggest speeding up the capture speed of the flag on CTF and ditching conquest in favor of something more fast paced.

7. add more PVE game modes such as dungeons, raids, etc. while its fine if the game is more PVP focused but please don't forget about those like me who prefer PVE please.

8. add guilds and guild battles for PVP.

9. add an active friends tab and a invite friend to party function to allow for grouping.

10. this may sound weird but; make rebirth free. This games core concepts seem to be combat, customization and story; so why lock a core concept away from a free to play player. I wouldn't even mind it if I had to pay 10k CP to change my characters appearance.

11. add some dialogue or text to at least allude to some form of connected over arching plot. you could simply remove the characters face from their story mission, add a silhouette in its place and write "CHASER DETECTED" before the start of the mission.

12. add a help guide in the menus so that players who need a refresher on some form of gameplay mechanic can find it.

these are just some of my personal suggestions and recommendations on what to add to the game next. If anyone else has any suggestions, please feel free to add them to the thread.

they should of atleast give 2 character slots..to try atleast each gender
though we all know id have 2 waifu durrrr
still deserve props for fixing the greed DlC's
but paid character creation is still a bad thing.. which normally is barely acceptable if you are simply going overboard with creating mules
especially when you can only own 1.. Onnne....
and well they are sneaking with the rebirth tickets
saying there is extra things behind it .. but wont say what...
when alot of fashion i feel like is hidden in those 4$ rng crates
id prefer soloing everything .. and it would increase the longevity of the game..
and there needs more loot.. the grind feels so unrewarding arggg
but hey
atleast, it is playable unlike Ge3
i do not think rebirth should be free however
since the rng box is what should not be there and if we had 2 slots well you could remake her
and stuff like rebirth would become the main income and does not affect gameplay directly
locking loot behind paywall is just has bad has the 2 dlc was
since again, it does not have enough content to start with

1. add in emotes to allow for basic player expression and bonding.

Emotes is something people keep requesting, hoping the developers are aware people want them. People keep doing /dance in the chats. We 100% need these

2. make the benches and swing interactive as to allow for more to do in the hub and to help with lag that's caused by crowding.

The first thing I did when playing was go up to that swinging bench hoping it would be interactable... Nope! It now needs to be tweaked so 1-2 players can ride on it. More of these needs to also find its way around the hub.

3. add some sort of small minigame or object to allow players to entertain themselves while waiting and to help with lag caused by crowding.

I held back on saying we need mini games because it's "asking for too much" but we honestly need "something". We seriously do. Make us play checkers, chess, Blackjack (without profit) among other things. Even roll a ball around in the lobby. Anything.

4. increase the drop rate of cosmetics on max difficulty to around 10% to allow more people to gain the cosmetics that they grind for.

People kept asking for this where I was able to get both wings & cat tail, yet friend didn't. It needs to be nudged up to 10%, I agree.

5. a fully usable camera mode to allow people to take pictures of their custom made waifus that they put so much effort into making.

Other games allow picture mode, and they showed screenshots without the HUD in their stream so this has to be added into the game. People LOVE taking images, and it needs to be a thing. A photo mode would be awesome, especially with future loot we're gaining.

7. add more PVE game modes such as dungeons, raids, etc. while its fine if the game is more PVP focused but please don't forget about those like me who prefer PVE please.

Even though their discord notes there's no dungeons because it's PVP focus, that in itself is the game's weakness. It needs more PVE things to do, dungeons, fight against grunts, and etc. I'm more of a PVE'er because I dislike how intense PVP is, and how cheaty people get. If I wanted PVP I'd play some Battlefield game, or similar. I have bad experiences in PVP making me shy away from it needing more PVE elements.

Even in Kurtzpel where I should have been able to kill two people with ease, they didn't die. Someone even AOE'd them and they didn't die.... They just wouldn't die and I just hated PVP all that much more.....

8. add guilds and guild battles for PVP.

I agree with guilds. Guild halls should also be a customizable thing. Wish we could choose between guild halls to earn things to populate them. Guilds are planned, but guild halls & PVP, that's up for grabs.

9. add an active friends tab and a invite friend to party function to allow for grouping.

This was noted as a thing for Kurtzpel.

12. add a help guide in the menus so that players who need a refresher on some form of gameplay mechanic can find it.

- NPC Partners:
I add we should have NPC Partners to join us, whom should at least be at Friend level 2, to join you at their whim. The higher your affinity the more likely they'll join you. Why? Even though we can get randoms to join you some people may feel "safer" having NPCs with them.

This game definitely needs dungeons, bigger parties and in-mission communication. Emotes would be nice too.

Thing is, I get the feeling these things are planned? The story is kind of disjointed like it's missing key scenes. Characters are already wonderfully diverse in their idles, animations and voice work (and that ain't cheap) and there is even a day-night cycle which currently we only ever see in Eltheca. The developers made two games already with PvE campaigns and a PvP element. No doubt they'll do the same here. Probably an Elsword/Grand Chase 3D-esque story.

These are some really good suggestions. I find that too much is locked behind pay walls, making the game less appealing. I want more clothes and weapons that I can earn in game. For customization I wish that it wasn't locked behind rebirth and personality, like being able to change stats isn't something that should be behind $10. I know you need to make money but it is unreasonable to pay $10 for another character slot.

I mean... if this game had classes and junk I'd agree with you, but at current it's no different from Warframe in that one character can do pretty much everything.

I just treated that $10 purchase as part of my entry fee (along with a few other purchases,) because I still believe in B2P. Just a shame some people will see MTX and leave without looking back. Like... you're not escaping it. Tearing down any and every pay wall is the best case scenario.

All of my suggestions are for PvE only and yes I will be advocating for what I see as a fair use for microtransactions as the game is free and they should have some expenses

-----------Cosmetics-----------

-Face customizations
A major issue I spotted when creating my character was that I have a sad face no matter what and the same headshape as everyone else. Afew free(atleast 4) would be great. The others can cost a small fee(99c or something)

Add nose types too.

-Individual body adjustment
Waist, arms. butt and legs should be seperately adjustable. Not attached to a "thicc or nah" scale.

-Microstransactions
Take a page from PSO2. Major features should cost a small fee(10USD is insane, make it 5USD) and allow the adjustment of minor features that don't impact the characters look to greatly. Example: Minor changes
Hair Style
Eye color
Skin color
Voices

Major
Body weight/Size
Face type
Eye Type
Hair color
Breast size

People wouldn't mind paying a small fee for a major make over but for something as minor as "Opps my x color is slightly off" noone wants to pay for that.

-Posing
I don't know what causes it(assuming the beginning when they ask your type) but I see people standing different than me with the same weapon. We should be able to toggle our standard pose. This game is partly fan service and it would benefit from this.

-Emotes been over a million times

-----------UI changes--------

-Positional UI
This game can mix between slow and fast pace combat. In those situations you can't always stop and look at your UI because it's out of the way of the boss. If not adjustable, I'd like to advocate for the UI for your bars to be ether on the side of your character(flipped vertically) or under your character. This can be a toggle for people who do not like this.

This becomes a major factor when your new and you have to learn your stamina/mana management.

-Controller improvements
I know, I'm on PC why am I using a controller? Well 2 reasons. 1 I can't go over because it's personal, I don't have access to my desk and my bed is too lumpy. 2 I enjoy action games on controller especially for PvE. With that out of the way.

I spotted 1 major issue and 2 minor issues when using controller.
-L3/LS is dodge(might be changable but could have been used for something else)
-Start=Leave party/quit quest instead of pause menu(Think this can be changed, check later)
-Some UI cannot be interacted with using controller(Solution, make Right Stick mouse movement when in menus)

-Dat boi ded git'm
So I gotta say. There is a indicator for dead people when they are off screen but when they are on screen and it's chaos on the field(like vs the Knight boss from the sword story) it can be abit difficult seeing the dead player. The circle they use to indicate the character off screen should be togglable for use when they are dead on screen. Especially since the UI is filled with Light colors, it can be difficult to see them on max settings.

-Cross hair color change/UI theme color change
I have a very difficult time seeing the UI at first glance in some of the bright stages. I'd like a darker theme. I'm sure this would be appreciated and helpful to others with eye sight similar or worse than my own as well as to the FashionzPel community.

Overall I think the UI is really great for controller. Abit wierd for mouse but fine non-the-less.

-----------Graphic Settings---------
-Bloom
This shouldn't be attached to all lightning options as a package. Bloom imo ruins the graphical fidelity of the game as it shines far too bright in too many situations and it shuts out the details. I'd like to keep it but lower it without lowing the lightning effects of the whole game. For some bloom can cause headaches or eye strain so it would be fair to allow it to be adjusted seperately.

-Borderless resolution adjustment
If played on a 4K screen but your display is set to 1080 by display settings on your desktop, KurtzPel will still force a 4k resolution on you when you go into borderless. This causes extreme performance loss and screen tearing for people who's PC aren't strong enough for that. This is a very important option more games should have.

----------PvE--------

-Time gates
I'm going to first go and say that I think this game is PVP focused. Which is fair. But why is PvE time gated so hard? This should be removed. Time gating PvE content has never worked in a positive manner especially in games where you can't trade items. Especially in games where you have to grind excessively for rewards. I did 3 missions with my friend and we got locked out of all PvE for 15minutes. That's just a mood killer. We barely got to adjust to the gameplay before the game forced us into training or PvE for 15minutes. This needs to be removed.

-Friendslist
Where are you? :c

---------Other------
-Auto Single Channel
Make it a option to auto log into single channel instead of making people go to it every time they come back to the lobby. I don't have severe FPS issues but I can only imagine low end PC/laptop players.
-------------------------------------------END---------------------

Thanks for all that read this. I'm a PvE player so sorry if I sound like I'm asking for something that would effect PvP.
ArcticuKitsu May 10, 2019 @ 10:39pm
Here's a big one, something we keep seeing posted time and again.... I do hope they (the developers) consider this 100% seriously.

International Channel

Not exactly sure how they could set this up, just a place where people could meet up with other people from other servers (Regions) to play in a specialized channels with their friends. You know of those PSO2 Vita lobbies? Like that, but for international players to join you in these channels. PSO2 PC Players can play with Vita playes and vice-versa, or so I last seen before I dropped out. Specialized International channels.

People WILL consider using VPN, or just outright not play this game so some form of cross-over server/channel needs to be seriously planned.

Universal Friend List

Azur Lane fumbled here splintering their community base by having Chinese, Koreans, and English players on their own server. It's made worse when you're on a different server in that region being FURTHER splintered not being allowed to friend anybody in the Chinese, Korean, NOR English specific servers they're in.... Kurtzpel needs to allow universal friending to allow people to see one another in some fashion so they can then hopefully enter a specialized International server for PVP & PVE needs. Mainly PVE interactions.

======

I know of an Australian friend who wants to play with us, yet can't, because I'm on the NA server. I'm Canadian, my friends are Americans with my Australian friend left out of the loop. I feel sorry for him because Australians are just hated by Steam, in general, and now by Kurtzpel that I would love to see some love for Australians to play with the rest of the world; The main gaming group we're in.

I couldn't even gift my friend a copy of Furious Seas because of stupid Steam store policy of 10% currency difference on and off sale.......

This is a 100% seriously suggestion and recommendation to allow people to play from different regions on specialized channels.

It sucks that I can't play. :(

Also, definitely recommend some sort of IN BATTLE CHAT, especially something that says when people ditch you, like "[Player] left/disconnected", because it's freaking awful to play PVP and then realize your teammate ditched you

I agree 100% on this. I wish we could chat even in the game so we know what's up, or at least give us emotes for various things..... Let the notification be actually noticeable, and etc. ...
