Probably the same reason why we get no chat in matches / PvE. The toxicity would possibly put Toxic from Pokemon to shame.

Like people need to hear how bad they are. Just play the game how you are, your a pro and they are not. People evolve and get better with time, once upon a time you were a novice too. So backdown seriously and quit being so "Serious" and always want to win-win

whisper function for friends list at least you cant msg someone unless u spam them to be in party if they arent already occupied dont u think thats a bit silly?
a whisper system must come with a block function ofc for obvious reasons
