Tutorial Difficulties and Suggestions.
Okay, either I'm over-tired or a bit slow right now, but after discovering the second Stuart I'm not sure what to do. Found the hidden AA gun to the south, and am faced with a AT gun in a defensive position (which oddly I cannot attack, nor any of the barbed wire).
What to do next. Flanking the AT gun does nothing as, weirdly I cannot attack it (should just be a buff for being in a defensive position, but still able to engage).
I've noted the objectives for the mission but what do I do now? Just drive around the map looking for stuff to blow up?

It's in German, but if you disable the sound, watch it closely and do the same you should be able to finish the mission (at least the tut) ;-)

Ok, but I think that I let this for Stillaute, then. ;-) Since he brought up the issue (and seams to play in English).

Hi Herodotus,

as soon as you discover the second Stuart, you still have to destroy 2 anti-aircraft guns (look a little south of you and use the special skill of the stuart to detect them more easily). Then it goes on.

I hope thats help you, Linked Dimensions
I have searched the entire map, destroying 4-5 AA guns with the two Stuarts. There is literally nowhere else to search but still the tutorial does not move on. There are no more AA guns as I have crossed the bridge and gone as far south as I can and as far north as the barricades will allow. I have used the special ability constantly yet still there are no more targets. To reiterate, I have covered the entire map that is reachable and still no other AA guns.
Can't move forward in the mission.

This is very strange, since it should be very easy. My best guess is, that it's a little bug that occurs when you detect or destroy more AA guns as needed (or the wrong ones ?) - May be you should report this as a bug on the official bugtracking site and attach the save game. ;-)

But to carry on with the game I would start the mission new and play to the point were you should destroy the additional AA guns with the two M3s. If you only do what the tutorial tells you to and only move to the highlighted hexes you should get there in almost no time.

But maybe it's also a bug in the text of the tutorial that only occurs in some languages... In what language do you play ?

English, and it might be a bug but I've done all the Dev suggested I do. There are only a few turns where you are told where to go, and after that it's up to you to find the last AA guns. I have destroyed them all now, save for the shielded one amongst the barbed wire (that cannot be attacked).
Devs told me to find all guns and destroy them....which I've done. The tutorial should move on. Have tried the mission three times now with the same result.

Need a Dev to step in at this point and direct me to do or not do to move this mission on.

Sorry, but no - you don't have to destroy all of the AA guns to carry on (in fact you only had to detect and destroy two AA - not even three, like the tut told you - after you destroyed the truck which brought the first AA gun. - But after you detected and destroyed the two AA guns that are hiding in the bushes just a little north / northwest of the last location of the truck the tutorial will not continue, until you've come close to the town northeast to the bridge and you detect the tank gun in the town. That must be what you missed and therefore the tut didn't trigger the next step. But please believe me (I've done it several times), if you follow the highlighted hexes it's really very easy and you will very soon be able to carry on with the mission ... You only have to start new and do exactly what the tut-texts and the highlighted hexes tell you - I promise. ;-)
Herodotus Aug 13, 2019 @ 2:23pm
I drove right up to the town with the protected AA gun after destroying the two AA guns and supply truck and nothing happened - no triggering of events or tute moving forward. I've done everything I've been "told" to do by the Tute, and nothing happens, then did what the Dev told me to do...again nothing happens.. A Dev told me to look south for more AA guns, so I did.

I'll try again, but am really only repeating what you've already outlined to do.

P.S. Once I find the second Stuart, there are no more indicators of what to do or where to go next.

Ok, you're right. After you found the second M3 the tut is missing some additional hints of what to do next, but if you destroy the two more AA guns you detected with the second Stuart you will see that the hex in the town (with the tank gun) is highlighted. And like I told you, the highlighted hexes are the key to this ... and when you get a little closer to the town you'll see the tank gun again and the tut will continue (except you are playing a different game version than 1.0.0 (?))
Herodotus Aug 13, 2019 @ 3:28pm
I'll give it another go, but as I said I have already moved close to the town and highlighted the entrenched AA. I've clicked on it, tried to attack it - nothing. Just get the second Stuart, locate the supposed last of the AA guns and it all hopes.
As I said, a Dev responded above that I should keep looking for more AA guns to the south.

Okay so objectives disappear when the supply trukh is destroyed. Only reappear when you find the second AA gun. The, using ability 2nd M# is found and it destroys the tirid AA gun. Now all markers are gone. I have even driven up to the entrenched AA gun and moved the second M3 to the far right to another barricaded small town but now the tute is stuck. There are no more objectives.

I have destroyed the three AA guns, and supply truck which were the Mission's objectives at the start of the tutorial Have discovered the second M3. Now what? There are no indicators of what to do next.

And yes, I have the same version.

Ok, extra for you (and because devs are supposably sleeping) I turned to English and played the tut twice once more. And in my game everything turned out like I said before. I also tried to do things you're not supposed to do, like trying to attack the anti tank gun in the town, before you uncovered the second Stuart - but it was not possible (like it should, because of the tut). The only thing that was possible before you uncover the second M3 is to move too far to the east (behind the position of the still hidden Stuart). If you do this and then use the eagle-eyes feature, you can't uncover the second M3 and the tut does not move forward (maybe this was the problem, originally (?) - hint for DEVs to disable this possibility, please ;-)).
But you said:

(...) Have discovered the second M3. Now what?

Now you just have to destroy the already discovered 2-3 AA guns with your two M3s and the tutorial will move on, show you the highlighted hex in the town and tell you to "use both your tanks to attack the anti tank gun". But you're not able to see this anti tank gun, unless you move closer to the town (because of the limited viewing distance of your units). But when you move closer (with any of your tanks) you'll see it again and now can attack it, if you move into attack-range with both of your tanks. (Spoiler alert:)One tank will be destroyed (because of the counter-attack), but with the other remaining M3 you can destroy the anti tank gun finally, and the tut will move on and tell you to capture the town, and afterwards to move to the uncovered command-bunker. That's all that should happen / you should do.
(hope this finally will help you to start the real mission and enjoy the real action that follows)

@ DEVs / MODERATORS: maybe you could open a hint- / help-thread, transfer this to it and make it sticky ?

But when I find the second Stuart, the tutorial does NOT move on. That's what I'm saying. I have done everything you've suggested in the correct order, but the town does not 'light up'...the tute just stops. All the guns destryoed, two M3's active and....nothing. I have moved right up to the town and nothing happens.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks. Though a bit long-winded I was able to follow the steps taken - it's almost more puzzle solving than strategy. Now I'm at a screen to purchase items from a BB, I purchase and place it where I want it to go but it won't let me buy it. The old game, you puchased and placed and that was it. This seems a little more complicated as I have the funds to buy, but it won't let me buy them.
I am guessing by the arrow that the objective it so take the city, but aircraft can't attack anything, so they're useless and buying units is impossible. Buy, place X where you want the unit then taken to a basket screen where you can't buy anything.
This is so much more complicated than the first game.
S22 Aug 14, 2019 @ 10:58am
How do you mean, you buy it, place it, but won't let you buy it? It takes a round for purchased units to be deployed, in case that's your issue.
Herodotus Aug 14, 2019 @ 11:03am
I've figured it out. You must click on what you want to buy and then drag the unit onto the beach (not well explained). But you can only do it with one unit, which is destroyed in the Axis Turn.
I was referring to the shopping trolley at the bottom, where I thought you had to go to purchase items. Doesn't work anyway so I'll ignore it.
So BB's produce one unit a turn, that land and are obliterated; aircraft that cannot attack until the next round (and are usually shot down before that happens); DD's that have minimal damage effect on bunkers and other units. Add in all the Axis units hiding in the FOG that only come out if you land your one single unit and it's all very confusing. If I had not played the first game and had a basic grasp because of that I'd be in a right mess.
