Information about the status of the early access and possible release plans

Dear Early Access supporters, dear fans of Tank Operations, dear players and game lovers,

We noticed the recent posts with questions about the status of the game over the last few weeks. One post from December with this question was perfectly answered by our mod team. The game is not dropped or abandoned. Nevertheless we think it's time to make an official post from the dev team, since you are right. Our last answer was a long time ago, too long actually. There are three reasons for that:

1. One of our team members had some health issues and was in rehabilitation for some weeks. In such a small dev team this has a huge impact.

2. The pandemic situation made many things more complex and influenced everything in different ways.

3. This is the most important point. Like many things in life it's a question about money. The development has to be financed in some way and much time was spent to think about possible solutions additionally to the early access. We thought about publishers, kick starting, self fincancing and so on. All this takes much time.

One of our main communication strategies is not to promise things which we cannot fulfill and deliver afterwards. That leads to gaps in the regularity of postings. We apologize for that. At this point we would be interested in your opinion. Should we think about this strategy and you want to read more regularly from us, even if the post would be "Nothing new, things are still ongoing"? We recognize that it may be somewhat disappointing for our users so we are open to discuss that strategy.

That said, of course we still work on the game. We are still looking for new ways of gathering budget for a quicker finish of the overhaul. As long as this is ongoing, we try to put as much effort in finishing the game as possible, but it's a slow process to be honest.

Regarding release plans, we hope to have solved those issues by summer and being able then to finish the game with a possible release in autumn. Please note that there is no promise in this sentence. We don't want to ignore your questions because you deserve an answer. Accordingly to the status now we are not able to announce a fix and reliable release date.

The most important message from this post is, we are still working on the game, we are still seriously planning to release it. Your posts and questions are always a motivation. Thank you for that :) We will discuss another communication strategy to have more life again in the early access. We love to be in touch with our community.

Wow, thank you very much - that's really nice to hear/read. (and I, personally, am content with only being informed when some new things are to be announced - but maybe that's only me. )

Yea, it's almost the end of 2022, can't blame the rona this year as well..
Should I buy and support this interesting game, or mark it as another abandoned EA title?
