Hi zakblood - as always the quickest here in the forum, huh ? (just like in the good ol' days, eh ! )

But what do you mean by "version 3" ? - the remaster of the remaster ?

well a rather large patch was just added, and in game is states version 3 and a new map

seems looking at the game install folder, game now supports 8k and 4k in GUI and also units etc with a new folder for each and now full HD for everyone else

while ive also never really looked at the folders etc, there now also seems to be 2 versions, 32bit and a 64bit version, as well as whats mentioned above

Yes, seems it's the long announced (and awaited) overhaul... I almost can't believe they really did it... ...and I'm very excited, too - but also will have to wait untill the WE, I'm affraid...

also for me, steam loads the 32bit version by default, so ive now changed that and are running the 64bit version and will see how that tests as not sure atm how to make that the default in steam lol

Hm - you're right - even the Early-Adopter-version (which is still active) runs in 64Bit from Steam... - however, the Early-Adopter is still the old EA-version (which is good fo comparison-purposes )... makes me wonder if this is intended...

Yes, it's certainly a bug - or at least the option to pick the Bit-version manually before game-start (like in many other games) is missing.

Hi everyone,

you are correct, the game should pick the correct Version (32 bit or 64 bit) depending on the OS/CPU architecture, that's how everything is setup in Steam.
And the 64 bit version is the version you want to play as it offers much higher resolutions for units, levels and effects.
Not really sure why this problem occurs, but please try reinstalling the game as this seems to solve it.
If it still persists after reinstalling, please let us know and we'll figure something out.

YES !! - it worked for me, too !

So, it seams, it's a problem with the updates, when you already had installed the older EA-version, I think... can't you force a de-install with/before the update, maybe ?

new update yesterday but no idea on what i fixed or contained no notes posted as of yet

Well, game-version is still 3.0.0.0 (at least in my library)... but there is a new Publisher-logo now, so I'd guess that the update addded this.
