Hidden Boss?
I can't find any information on how to unlock the last license and fight the "hidden boss." Is there some secret I've overlooked, or is it just future DLC?

I was able to make the boss after the A difficulty. but watch out if you play hardcore, the boss is harder than the last challenge mode boss. I had 1800 attack and 1500 defense where I had fought it and it took about 1 hour with permanent jumping around. because it caused me 3-5k damage per hit. that whas absolutly not funny >.<

i just tried to fight him; even with 2100 defense I was no match for him T~T I wish there was a more comprehensive guide to the game, but I dont blame anyone for not wanting to make one (considering how poorly the ability text of items is in this)

If you want to have a better time against the hidden boss, I suggest you read a guide to optimise your build and get prepared to farm a lot of those red magic cores. Shameless self-advertisement for my own guide here, but oh well, I wrote the guide for a reason: To help people decide on how to gear up properly.

Farming cores other than red ones, btw, is hardly useful. I am fairly certain the hidden boss (as well as all enemies in higher stages of the highest difficulties) has a good amount of armour penetration himself, thus negating the value of green cores a fair bit. Blue cores only increase the power of your subweapons, but the best thing you can equip is that shield aura thing that makes you invulnerable for a hot second... and does not deal damage, so blue cores are quite pointless...

I believe when I beat the hidden boss, I had about 7k attack power and 1337 defense? I still felt pretty underlevelled, though. The best defense is still a good offense. I am just glad you do not need to beat the boss on the highest difficulty, iirc A difficulty is enough.
No pictures of the final boss
