Squad 44 - Public Testing

Anti-Aliasing and Supersampling
The devs really need to sort out their AA and SS. Lower settings make the game look like a blurry mess anywhere past 100m, making it an extremely eyestraining pixel hunt.

Max Supersampling really clears the game up, but tanks about 15-20 frames from a lower setting. Hoping optimizing and making the game render things clearly in the distance is high on their priority list since Squad suffers the same issue and really deters me from playing it.

the farsight is just horrible, a pixlemud ... and i play on 1440p ^^ this, the kinda bad performance, bugs ... and about 2 weeks before release? :D reminds me to much on pubg, one time is enough for me haha. seems like i will refund and see where it is going

yeah I have been asking for a solution for awhile tried everything still blurry or pixleated distance and it hasnt gotten fixed it sometimes makes the game unplayeble for me sometimes

I agree gme looks terrible I run on epic with effects on cinematic and its horrible and hurts my eyes to the point of stopping me from playing more than an hour or two.

Glad im not the only one. Thought my pc or screen was to blame. I have had a play around with the AA and to be honest, I dont think it works properly. Some lower tech options appear better than the higher end. I also take less frame hits from using the highest option compared to the lowest, which is weird. The screen sometimes looks like some one took some poster paint and made some blotched impressionism. Textures can also have lag load, which just makes it worse.

I dont know. I like this game, but agree that the optimisation of graphics is horrendous.

I run Anti-Aliasing off and Supersampling set to 1.25x every thing else on medium. For me this seems to look the best and get a stable 60+ fps. Hope this helps a bit.

All the post processing AA are blurry, in every game.
There is the option called "Screen sharpening" in the video option. Try it. I have it at 100 and the overal quality is far better.

Except in Squad/PS, it's extremely bad. Did you even read the OP, let alone the thread?

Yeah, not really a fan of having Vaseline in my eyes.

turn screen sharpening down to something like 0.25, 0.50 looks horrifically blocky.

avoid TAA as thats doing half resolution interlaced black magic voodoo and wizardry which is very friendly to performance but awful to movement.

Flitting between SMAA and 1.25 SS at the moment and it's looking pretty good, slightly better both quality and performance with the smaa I reckon.

Certainly could do with improving and optimization though high settings with a lil epic and most options off still makes my 1080 cry

The issue with SS is it will destroy your FPS unless you have a very powerful card.
