is there any documentation on the hsm format

looking into the file is a bunch of uncorrelating data [0 0 0 0 0 0 0 23 0 0 8] data [0 0 0 0 0 0 45 6 0 0 1]. id like to make a midi>hsm and/or hsm>midi converter but i can't yet figure out this format

It's a complex 3d array stored in JSON format, and hsm->midi would lose a lot of the effects and custom sounds and such, but if you'd like to try here's my reference manual for how it is structured - the document makes sense in my head and potentially no one elses, bwl:
